I was a huge fan of huni in his glory, he inspired me to play top lane and watch pro games, his time NA completely destroyed his legacy and it was disgusting to see

When huni and fnc peaked at worlds and when Huni and reignover first went to NA on immortals and made people worry about TSM winning and their win ratio. Great times
@dcxserf18272 жыл бұрын
Huni was a force. Like when your team was going to go up against Huni/Reignover it was a mountain they had to climb. Huni was an obstacle you had to get better than to compete or even hope to slow him down. It really dragged the skill sets up and helped to make the region more competitive in the top lane.

Alright guys, first of glad to have you guys back So one of my favorite moments of Huni’s career (I started watching after the C9 semi finals run) was when Clutch lost to TL (I believe) and Huni started crying and Damonte defends his boi Huni in the interview and saids to go on twitter and write something nice to him. Me being emotionally driven go create a twitter (I never had one) just to wish Huni well. So Huni is the reason I have a twitter… YUP TY Huni…

Overwatch death as an esport was very easy to predict. Overwatch league didn't ocurred organically, they just throw a lot of money into an artificial enviroment for investors, then when the game went bad all of the OWL pros just left because they didn't cared that much from the beginning

With regards to TL, superteams like this very rarely ever work, there's a reason that there are star players and role players. Star players usually believe the game should be played around them and you can only make the most out of them if you're able to commit resources. Having 4 or 5 players that either need or are used to having resources for them to succeed means that they either have to relearn what they're doing or (the thing that happens usually) it creates friction in the team as they will argue over who should have resources, be the carry etc. It's happened a lot in other Esports like CSGO, Astralis from 2018 to 2020 were one of the most dominant teams ever but it wasn't because they had a load of superstar players, they had good players at their roles and commitment and belief in a specific play system. They had some really good players and Dev1ce was quite clearly a star player but the reason the others were so good was because they knew when they had to take up playing the more supportive elements of the team in order to set others up for success. Unfortunately you can't have that on a team where you've put 5 players together with big egos. No one will want to take a back seat support role even if it would make the team function better.
@blobitz96482 жыл бұрын
The thing is though, TL might be the most balanced superteam of all time. Bwipo, Hans, Corejj and Santorin all have played the majority of their careers not being the main focal point. They are literally the exception to the idea that you can't make the most out of them if you don't commit resources and yet they still aren't that impressive so it's kinda sad.

@Elena-gj6ow2 жыл бұрын
As a duo they are on the passive side tho. They have poor 2v2 plays. I put that on Bjerg personally, although he was better at pushing the tempo last week. Most of the season he's been holding both Santorin and Core back.

@@MrDespisedIcon I don't think that matters when it comes to their decision of letting him go back in November. He was their best performer at worlds last year. It was weird they dropped him just because Bjerg was up. Taking a split off likely doesn't help with continuity.

LS having nothing good today about Huni and his career, who yes had some very low low, as said by Dom. But at the same time LS literally blowing/hyping up Fudge. Someone who will never hit Huni’s highs. Really mind boggling. He had nothing I mean nothing good today. Even a “eh he had a good run from S5-S8.” Would of been fine. I’m an LS fan but dude at times is so blindsided by his current gamer candy. Nemesis, Crownshot, Fudge….ect
@iplayvarsitygolf95922 жыл бұрын
If LCS was a concentrated league, with only 3 teams competing for the title every year. LS would say that there is no competition, which isnt healthy for the league. Now that a team is competing… it’s a joke that doesn’t lead to anything. It’s the better teams fault? I’m sorry I just see no consistency in that analysis
@ruiribeiro34102 жыл бұрын
The problem is they are not competing because they are getting much better, the star studded teams are just playing worse. And that is not good, cause when they get to international events they Will be slaughtered
@andyhuynh26252 жыл бұрын
CLG got better. Top teams got worse. That doesn't mean there's more competition LOL. Good for CLG. But in terms of wanting the best for the region. It's not good that the top teams are worse. Which means the region is worse as a whole.
@mee7er2 жыл бұрын
You’re not seeing a problem with a league where the first place team fields two rookies and loses two of their lanes every game? You don’t think there’s huge holistic issues within the system when rosters like TL and C9 are middling at best?
@murqouttt81882 жыл бұрын
its not c9 doing good so they dont care
@Captur862 жыл бұрын
If TL kept Impact, got Jojopyun and CoreJJ is still there, imagine the possibillities, you could pitch high rated korean players to join LCS to join an NA Korean Team, I mean even Faker would consider it a little bit right? 😅
@mee7er2 жыл бұрын
As usual EU seed 1 and one other EU team will surprise us and make it into semi or get really close in quarters. But I have zero faith in NA this year. EG is spunky but Jojo will get skill checked like at MSI and bot lane’s weak laning will be a huge liability especially if the bot pool stays the same for world’s.

Bjergsen wasn't passive the last time he played, it's definitely something that was imposed on him, either he feels that he just needs to play back in order to let his teammates shine or he's actively being held back by his teammates or the coaching staff, the last time he played he was two-tricking TF-Zilean all the way to the LCS title, him and Spica were just all around the map winning games by themselves, i have no idea what happened with him, he clearly still knows how to carry games this season but he's not playing to do that anymore it's the exact opposite problem Jensen has, he can't help himself and plays mechanically demanding champions that can carry games but he's simply not good enough to do so
@rockylee9432 жыл бұрын
Or hes just bad.
@mee7er2 жыл бұрын
How is playing TF and Zillian not passive? They’re literally lose lane-win game champs. He’s always been a pretty passive dude. That’s why he saw the most success when paired with a very lane dominant lane somewhere else on the map he can support. And in theory that should be bot for TL but they never play around that lane. I hope Hans gets to go back to EU after grabbing the bags ‘cause he’s absolutely wasted in this league.

not really that spicy of a take tbh. While I unironically look down on mobile "gaming", Riot is clearly putting a lot of effort into Wild Rift. Just look at some of the proposed preseason changes for PC LoL; a couple of those, namely the visible patience ranges for Jungle camps and expanded pings, are things that have been in Wild Rift for a while now.
