my honest reaction: 🤨 ... I politely disagree, as I personally find scratch tedious to work in; It is fun sometimes however I can work so much faster in other game engines and have more control too... Moreover, I prefer text-based coding. But thats just my opinion. Game engines don't matter that much (Within reasonable conditions of course), what you can do usually depends on how much effort you're willing to put into it, taking into consideration the strengths and weaknesses of the engine/framework and your own experience. Take this with a grain of salt.

TL;DR: addon probably doesnt load fonts bc you dont have em downloaded if youre talking about the text being cut then thats because old versions used to use vectors for the text instead of bitmaps. i put an addon in there that allowed me to put in whatever font, but i guess they forgot to make sure you didnt have to have the fonts downloaded to be loaded.
