For anyone broke looking for ideas to eat on the cheap: if you have a freezer, you can cut up the bread in chunks (pre-slice it lengthways too) ans freeze them in bags, then toast them straight from the freezer whenever you want bread. It stays fresh this way. Reuse the bags every time for bread to save money ☺

Carbs are actually not the thing making you tired. It is overeating that is. So, maybe try to eat until your satisfied and then stop. And then only eat again when you're hungry. That should help. Carbs are important to give you energy because they get changed to sugar (glucose) in our body which then directly fuels pretty much any part of our body and especially the brain. Also you don't need to worry about protein at all, it's just one tiny part of the nutriens we need but a lot of people know it so everyone always taks about eating enough protein. By simply eating potatoes or rice (which are very low in protein) and veggies you already cover your protein need and you are definitely not going to die from a defficiency. Also I don't think you're into body building so definitely don't waste any time thinking about your protein take-in. Only severly starved people are protein defficient but they are also defficient in many other areas obvliously. So just try to eat as good as you can but don't worry. And maybe try to eat more vegetables (spinach, kale, onions, bell pepper,...) since they have minerals and vitamins (also a lot in fruit) you need :)
@HoneyBee-bi8fy6 жыл бұрын
Michelle Botha wow
@lauramelega24566 жыл бұрын
Wait... Please say you're vegan because a person who's interested in nutrition and eats meat would never say something like protein isn't that necessary lol no offense for anyone (btw I a 100% agree with you ❤️)
@fleuramere6 жыл бұрын
protein is 30% of your intake and it helps you make you feel full. all of that is nonsense. we do need protein, just not to the amount people gloat. beans + rice are a complete protein, she wont get that from potatoes, thats false. take a nutrition class.
@sydneywhite17906 жыл бұрын
overeating might be making you tired. Its also the sugar crash you are having after eating all those carbs. Carbs have so much sugar in them and you really don't need them at all. You really don't need a lot of fruit at all either. The correct fuel for your body is from healthy fats and oils and lots of vegetables.
@hellastrange23576 жыл бұрын
Hey, I appreciate that you are trying to help Tax :) But personally, I don't think she overeats? She is a small person, but she also eats small portions. She does eat only 2 meals a day, (Which should be six, including snacks) what makes her feel fuller and more sleepy when she does eat. I agree with you that she doesn't need to focus on the protein that much, Idk man, this is just my opinion! I have never taken a nutrition class, but I do know a lot about food and nutrition from personal experience. Please don't see this as hate, I'm just trying to help!

One pineapple where I live is like 2-3€ how is food in the uk so inexpensive
@empty23535 жыл бұрын
These are reduced items basically they are near their use by or sell by date meaning that the store would reduce the price from £5 to say £3 but then if it still doesn’t sell they will reduce it more from £3 to like a £1 and yet again if it doesn’t sell it will end up like 30p so the food is still expensive in the UK & Ireland
@cassualtea20405 жыл бұрын
Tbh pineapples or fruit and veg prices in general vary depending on the season and where you are but the cheapest pineapple I have ever bought was around.... 30 pesos? In season, straight from the farm, one kilo or pineapple since we sell by weight. Philippine Pesos. Somebody check that conversion.

for dealing with a tight budget in a week by spending 1pound per day from your video is possible to be healthy and wholesome. You need to know what and how to store things to prolong thier shelves life, you can freeze the bread and it will last for like a week to still taste good. Then before eating it you just have to toast it on the pan with a tiny bit of butter (everything from the fridge needs to bring into room temperature first before cooking or it will make the inside raw or even icy while the outer layer is burnt). Buy eggs. Cheapest protein ever. Buy fruit every 2-3 days and store it in the fridge. Best veggies in my opinion will be beansprouts and spinach. cheap and will taste good even with minimal seasoning. just toss it on the pan with a little bit of oil, salt and pepper. you got an omelette, bread, stir fried veggies and fruits for a day

I live in the Southern United States, and living on that little amount of money, I’d starve before the week was over ☹️ it really shows how people how are poor or have food stamps have to scrape by to eat. Thank you for doing this!

The food pyramid is actually wrong😂👏 Fruit&veg goes on the bottom and carb second. Good luck with the challenge💕

Meat is also suppossed to be split in half between "protein" (which includes beans,eggs and nuts) and dairy.

i know this is old vid , but the carbs most people regard as carb have good amount of protein in them. Wholewheat bread for 100 gram has 10 grams of protein ,also 7 to 9 grams of fiber which is very important nutrient . Wholewheat spagetti 100 grams has 13 grams of protein . Only the rice is carb mainly ,very weak food that people eat for no reason. Potatos have 2.5 grams of protein for 100 gram , so 400 grams of them gives 10 gram of protein . So don't overlook those numbers !

$0.12 for a whole pineapple in the UK. Pineapple in the US $2.50. No wonder many Americans can't afford to eat healthy.
