Adjusting the straps is a lot easier when it isn't on the dog (adjusting straps video helps too). I found opening the side zips made adjustments to the collar and the back straps a lot easier. I used a tape measure to figure out the right length for the back straps, rather than readjusting it several times. This video is not very good at showing how to change the length of the straps, and I was a bit confused about how high up the straps reach (seeing it on a real dog would have helped).

Hi! I'm a parent and I know that the child seat LATCH connectors in the vehicle seat are really only rated for 65 pounds. Doesn't that mean that my 75 pound dog must only use the seatbelt?

Hello @babysnooks - Clickit Utility uses a combination of LATCH anchor and seatbelt to restrain the pet. The LATCH anchors in vehicles are required to hold a minimum of 65 pounds. Sleepypod has tested Clickit Utility dog safety harness with crash test dogs weighing 75 pounds at two facilities: at an independent, third party accredited lab, and also at a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved crash test facility.

The anchor points in my car are not the same as those outlined in the instructions (they're closer to the wheels). Is it possible to lengthen the straps (quite a bit) and use alternative anchor points. I should add, I'm based in Australia with a euoropean car (VW).

What about a dog in a "booster seat"? My dog dog does better in a booster seat. Is there enough length for this?
