I think a landscape slide version (think Sidekick phone) would fix so many of these issues. Weight, hand placement, button distribution. However to gain a moving part (such as a sliding keyboard) probably leaves it open to too many issues.

They had this for the iPhone 5 it’s really not that hard it just bluetoothed to the phone i dont know why they don’t make a newer updated version

@@kazu52I had one for my iPhone 5 also. It was great & Bluetooth but remember those phones were definitely smaller. The phone was like having two iPhones sandwiched together. It was still pocket sized & the cost wasn’t bad. Probably like $30 & came in an assortment of solid colors.

Thanks so much for your video. I was excited because I used to be a Blackberry user. I think if we are interested, we should wait until they have seen your comments and hopefully others so Clicks can make it better, although I wish we were back at the Blackberry time!

Totally agree I was excited to use this product I too brought the Founders Edition, but after a few weeks I was sadden by the shortcomings accurately described in this video.

It is a great idea. What I would like to see in the next version is a capacitive keyboard to scroll through websites and apps like how the Blackberry passport keyboard worked. A MageSafe version. I have the London Sky with an added MagSafe adhesive ring on the back and it works great! Can add MageSafe accessories.

I have added rings to other cases that I've had with mixed results. Glad it's working for you! Interesting idea about the keyboard as well. I'm excited to see where this product goes moving forward.

Good review! Personally after a few weeks of practice I am a huge fan. Averaging 65wpm. Currently using the 15 pro which i imagine is much smaller than the max version. My only complains are lack of waterproofing and I sometimes finds the material of the case makes it difficult to put in my pockets.

As I said in the video, I'm sure there are some people who will make better use of it than I did and I'm glad to hear that is the case. 👍. The case is grippy, which is obviously good when you're using the keyboard but less great for taking in and out of your pockets. I'm glad you're enjoying it overall!

Great review. Very thorough. I purchased and cancelled my order and purchased it again for all the reasons you mentioned. I think for techie people, its a fun splurge. But if you are looking for functionality and something more productive, this isnt the best case for you.

I preordered Clicks for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. After a couple of months with my Founders Edition unit, it’s definitely a niche product with some issues. I still really enjoy it though.

You can get a fully programmable wireless/bluetooth mechanical keyboard with hotswap switches that will pair with your phone for $75-100. This is insane.

It's not an apples to apples comparison, but I obviously agree the price point is high. I got a $40 mini Bluetooth keyboard for my Z Fold 6 and I quite like it.

Looks like the new one for the iPhone 16 has addressed several of these issues. I’m going to wait for it to hit Best Buy or Amazon for an easy return if I decide I don’t like it.

I’d like to see them come out with this keyboard in landscape mode especially for the phones with larger screen. Even a sliding Version like the old school t mobile sidekick

This keyboard comes with predictive text. But you have to use the iphone's display keyboard. If you use a third party keyboard app you won't be able to use predictive texting. Took me while to figure this out.

I see what you're talking about but the feature is still very limited and you don't have the option of choosing from different words. You can only use the spacebar to finish certain words, and for me at least, it's usually not the word I want to use anyway. In any case, it's a good catch and I'm glad you pointed it out.

@@RandoTechInfo Yes. The option of selecting from the various word options is gone. For years, I've been using the third party app SwiftKey and it's difficult to revert back to apple's keyboard. Using the Clicks physical keyboard does come with limitations. It's a give and take I suppose.

Typing this on the clicks keyboard and i can definitely say that im much slower typing on this thing. And i also think that the backlight turns off too fast.

The back light does turn off fast, I assume to save battery power so I will forgive it. Thanks for weighing in!

I loved my physical keyboards back in the day. I just think my mind has rewired itself and I have moved past them.

I dont think it's worth it, just because of the convenience of a virtual keyboard. Maybe if it was in a landscape orientation or able to be folded out it might be a bit more useful.

It’s a product I would buy at this price if it were something I could use forever on every device I own. The problem is that I change my iPhone every year, and spending €150 for a new case every year isn’t worth it. Considering that a quality keyboard doesn't cost more than €50, if this case cost no more than €75, I would buy it.

The problem with me is they have had terrible customer service. I ordered mine on May 6th and they said it should come in 10-12 weeks. It is week 16 and it still hasn't come and hasn't even been shipped. Ridiculous

@@RandoTechInfo they sent me an update that it’s shipped but when tracking it, it says that it actually hasn’t been shipped at all and is still awaiting fulfillment since the 10th of this month

It’s a no for me especially at that price with no MagSafe. I can just imagine how it’ll stick out from the pants pocket. At least add a headphone jack to add to the nostalgia 🤷🏼‍♂️

Basically I think it sucks, but I don't have an iPhone, so I'm not the target market anyway. I like Michael but I don't think this keyboard is anything more than a novelty.

@@RandoTechInfo True, and there are a lot of people with iPhones out there so he doesn't have to attract a very big percentage of them to have a successful product. Personally the only thing that would significantly improve my ability to type on a phone would be a pocket sized folding bluetooth keyboard, and those already exist.
