Adam knows Rolex and is a trust worthy source for vintage watches. I like how Adam brought 4 different era vintage Subs, and walked through the + & -'s of each so the chef could make an informed choice.

This was a gem! You really get easily into depths of different watches when somebody is actually considering and comparing between multiple options. Too often you just get presented one watch and it leaves up to the viewer to do Googling or watching other videos to really catch the differences.

Agreed, it’s quicker to use your watch that grab your phone if timing something. But to say a Chronographs purpose was to time how long to cook something…😂 I do like the vintage watches, but about $3K is about all I’d pay. 😮

Amazing content, thank you Adam. It would be interesting to understand whether a watch like the gilt 5513 can be used daily, of course with some care, and still mantain the perfect dial condition/lume etc. In other words, what causes degradation in reality?

With the history of these watches, I personally would keep them. I think the Paul Newman examples are way overrated, and that a swap would negate the history this man has with his current watches. But, that's what makes a market.
