So in your opinion, 175 or CRB? I know they both have there place, but for carpet agitation if you could only pick one, which is the winner?

Adam Valencia Agree, CRB... and my pwrsonal thought is that 175 is too harsh on long fibers... but ideal in low cut pile, berber, etc

I'm looking to have 2 rooms cleaned (a 10 ft by 10 ft bedroom and a 20 ft by 20 ft master bedroom) that has some darker areas and some black stains in the high traffic parts. I used a Bissell Pro Heat cleaner with Woolite cleaner to clean some of it and the black spots and some of the darker color came out, so it's not too extreme as some of the videos I've seen on carpet cleaning. My question is, what would be a reasonable price to clean these 2 rooms?? I contacted a local company, but haven't gotten a reply yet as I used their contact form on their site just now. Thanks.
@trumanhardwoodfloorservices7 жыл бұрын
John Thorpe $100 - $175 depending on your area and the quality of the cleaning.

Thanks for not being scared to post this video, most of my clients give me hell because the traffic lane is still visible. Then i have to go explain the difference between "clean" and "damage"... guess i need to move down to GA... these TN people are a rough crowd!
@trumanhardwoodfloorservices7 жыл бұрын
+patrick collier no problem, yes you have to sometimes explain to people the difference between clean and damaged, if you wash a car with a discolored paint job, dents and rust well after you wash it, it's still going to have a discolored paint job, dents & rust. That's what I usually use as an example.
@colliercleen43167 жыл бұрын
LOL!!! Thats the same response i usually use. BTW i have my first carpet, hardwood and linoleum/vinyl job this friday the 17th... i owe that add-on to you. One $500 job vs five $100 jobs... How did you title that video? "Staying busy vs Making money".. lol... im glad i found you. Too many negitive people in todays age. When i quit my day job i had quite a few ppl tell me i was going to be a failure.
@BradSmith7776 жыл бұрын
I've found that it's easier to explain ahead of time what to expect. I'm sure you've been doing this long enough that you can see a dirty carpet and know about how it'll look when you're done cleaning based on prior experience. So with that in mind I build an expectation with my client that lets them know that "unfortunately after I'm done there will still be a darker, more "greyed" area right there since it's a heavily worn area and that's just a result of the carpet fraying- sort of like dull hair caused by split ends. Unfortunately it'll never look like the area under the sofa since that never gets stepped on." It's so much easier to give an expert analysis with reasonable expectations ahead of time than to be giving what appears to the homeowner as "an excuse" after you're done. AND- if that's a make or break with the homeowner, then you've just saved yourself and the client a major headache, built a better reputation, and positioned yourself as more of an expert in their eyes.

@bigwheat156 жыл бұрын
MC S : There is a reason they are called “stains”... not everyone comes out. Also depends on the type of stain, how long it sat(shame on you for letting it get that bad), if you the customer applied any bs store bought product to it, etc. Carpet Cleaners aren’t magical carpet restorers. Just curious, how many carpet professionals have you went thru with your “unrealistic perfectionist” attitude? Lol

Good work man but learn to groom out the saw tooths marks as you go on the dry pass. Keep the nap in one direction or groom later. cheers.
@TheTurboman26 жыл бұрын
CRB's are a useful tool and have a place in carpet cleaning but they are not as good in cleaning deep traffic lanes. Where's the rinse? There's no heat to fully release the deep soils. CRB and encap is an interim maintenance method especially suited for commercial carpet cleaning where extreme traffic soiling would make truck mount HWE impractical and too expensive for the client. It's better to brush groom the wand marks when done.
@JanoyCresva7 жыл бұрын
Come on at least make the wand marks uniform and long. Dry stroke it into a uniform design so it doesnt look like a 5 year olds drawing.

Listen up, on the surface it looks ok but you can clearly see visible stains all over still. Once you're gone they are gonna see all the spots missed. Yeh the finish does look a bit amateur but that isn't the main point as they will be stepping all over it shortly. nice try but I would have you back to do the bits you missed.
@mikeg18416 жыл бұрын
I am the God of carpet cleaning and Mr. Truman should name that carpet Lazarus because he brought that carpet back to life. It was DEAD. You see your response is actually a complement because the carpet should of been replaced (and was going to be) and now you are nit picking a few "spots". Well here's how we gauge it: Are those "spots" worth $3000.00 dollars? If you rented that place and you had it looking that good on your move out and the landlord said "no, I'm keeping your $1700.00 deposit and i need to replace the carpet it's ruined and you owe me $1300.00 more" You and the jury would say that the landlord is a psychotic delusional idiot. Here's a tip : The cleaner you get something, the dirtier it looks. And that goes for humans too
@Stevorific16 жыл бұрын
Nice job but would look even nicer if carpet were groomed.
