Operation Yewtree led to convictions of less than half of those they accused. High profile and experienced judges, lawyers, police commissioners, policy makers etc etc have come out and pointed to a multitude of failings and presumptions made in the investigation. A couple of high profile offenders were found out of the massive amount of people that were accused. If you shoot enough bullets with a blindfold on - you’ll eventually hit a target, but you’ll take out a lot of innocent bystanders in the process….

Tina UK Actually I’ve never been a big Cliff fan, although I’ve nothing against the guy or his music. It’s just that I’ve grown extremely wary of “trial by media” with such stunts as the misguided reporting of the police raid on Cliff’s house without his ever being charged, and the “evidence” you find on conspiracy websites and internet chat-rooms ... all of which helps to create a lynch-mob mentality that condemns a person without their having to appear in court. There’s a risk of too much emotion taking over, causing him to be judged without proper forensic examination of any real evidence, or of the lack of it. Anyway, I guess there are many people out there sharing both our viewpoints ... so we’ll just have to agree to differ!
