Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I discovered Forestella only a few months ago & personally think they are the best vocal I’ve heard. They each have exceptional voices but their harmonies & arrangements together are truly stunning. The members are Ko Woorim, Kang Hyungho, Cho Mingyu, and Bae Doohoon. Woorim (2:49): bass, 27 years old, classically trained opera singer. Hyungho (1:39): tenor/falsetto sopranist, 35 years old, no formal training - he was the vocalist of an amateur rock band and worked as a chemical engineer and researcher. Good day. Welcome on the Forestella train. Thank you for your reaction video. They have so many performances to choose from. My favorite songs by them are Champions (it is a little more classically sounding) and their song Save Our Lives. They also did renditions of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, Simon and Garfunkle's song Scarborough Fair, Ed Sheeran's Shape of You, Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal, and the Queen's songs, We Are the Champions, and We Will Rock You. I have listened to a lot of their songs, and all of them are a treat to listen to, and to date have not found one song that I did not enjoy. Their songs in Korean are also an absolute treat. They performed most of their songs on a television show called Immortal Songs 2. Some of their Korean songs that you can listen to (even if it is just in your spare time and not for a reaction video) are Lazenca Save Us, The Face I Miss (Cherished Face), and As I Live.

I’d like to recommend you a new crossover group from South Korea I discovered recently. It’s called “Forténa” with combination of four tenors(I’ve heard it’s the first crossover group with four tenors). One of the members is a very famous count tenor(His name is DQ Lee and played in lots of operas all over the world). When I heard their very much first cover song “Neaolis” and “Demain n’existe pas“ in a competition program, I had goosebumps everywhere. I’m sure you would like it and I’d love to hear your opinion about their singing as a vocal coach! Thanks and I always appreciate your all reactions!

I’m 58 and British - you won’t hear a better cover of BoRhap than this one. As to what to listen to next just pull up a list, close your eyes and pick as everything is brilliant. Just one note though when you get to the trilogy do it in order Save Our Lives, Utopia and pt 3 when it comes out. If you want to learn more about them then take some time out of your day and watch Awkward Robot’s A Helpful Guide to Forestella 2023 and the three part Forestory to learn about how they came together and how close to it not happening in the competition that they came from and how a lot of it was down to Cho MinGyu (3rd from the left). I've been a fan of Queen since BEFORE they were famous. Even, they never did the middle section live. They left the stage, and, played a video of that section, before returning to the stage. I have to say, when Cho Mingyu sang "Mama, just killed a man", it actually hit me harder than when Freddie sang that line. 😳 It felt like a little boy telling his mum he'd messed up. 😭. Can I suggest "Shape of you" for a shock 😂 or "Bad Romance" for a better version than Lady Gaga. 😲 My favourite Forestella performance is "Je suis malade". 😭 But "Hijo de La lune" is beautiful. Nice that you have discovered FORESTELLA. This (classic) crossover group (rock/pop/opera) is definitely one of the best the music industry currently has to offer. Each voice alone is mesmerizing and their vocal ranges (soprano to deepest bass) are stunning. Technically highly qualified, they produce the most incredible harmonies, 4 can sound like 40. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Tom Traubert's Blues (4 Sheets to the Wind in Copenhagen)" by Tom Waits (Also known as "Waltzing Matilda").
