I love how Cliff had no idea he was listening to a comedy musician and played the reaction completely straight, as if it were intended to be taken seriously.

Daniel Thrasher is a genius, and I mean it. He's incredibly talented with music, acting and comedy. For your reactions I would recommend his video "When you write a song about hip hop" too!

I'm from Hungary, we don't really need to speak English here, so not many of us speak it, but I do, and still some rap songs sound like IGOWALLAH. Yes, I can understand them, if I pay a lot attention, but even if I understand the words, your expressions, slangs and speech trends change so quickly, that even the words that I understand don't make any sense for a non native speaker. That is why I like your channel for example, because you have already enlightened me about some of those expressions. What really surprises me though, is that you have songs that even you are not able to understand. In our language it is not that common, you can mumble and speak fast and whisper, it would still be understandable in Hungarian. I am glad you reacted to this song, I love Daniel, and I love you too.

Mexican here... Yes, rap sometimes sounds like that, specially fast rap. I need to check the lyrics and that's why I check reaction channels, I'm always discovering new phrases and meanings in songs. You should check more Daniel's sketches, specially his writing songs that already exist. Daniel is truly unhinged in the best way possible. Thank you for your reaction!!

I understand most lyrics in English I hear, but when it comes to the hardest track *mumble, very strong accent from some parts of US and so on) this seems pretty accurate

Hopsin "no words" is also a wonderful example of the depth of detailed rap Skirt, skirt, reet, reet, xanax, lean. This song sounds like most "soundcloud" geniuses.

Yes, this is exactly how rap sounds to non-english speakers. Most sounds like complete gibberish and you catch a word here and there (like mtv, austin powers etc.). He nailed it!

Before I had learned enough vocabulary, yeah... it was all noise with some things I had heard before occasionally, like "in the sky", "tonight", "never", "wanna" XD. Nowadays maybe I need to listen to a song a couple of times to understand everything, and if it's rap... maybe some songs are impossible for me no matter how much I listen to them haha.

Not gona lie... that is how rap songs in languages that I don't know, and even those that I know but are not native to me sound, especially with strong accents. It's... really hard to feel where one word ends and the other starts so you might as well just scramble the sylabes away and I will go by the melody anyway cause mumbles and gibberish are what I hear.
