Hey man I came from Knox's reaction and, I must say I really like your clean fresh completely blind take on the reaction. No capping about knowing the scene or meanings. Great reaction
@XurJames2 жыл бұрын
So, a pattern I notice with American reactors is that, you know the flows, you know when I bar is hitting and you kind of get a lot of it. But without knowing so much background and so much slang it will always be hard sadly. Because some bars are like... "oh okay thats a bar..." But with background and meaning to it... its like.... "Ohhh. That's a BARRRRRR" and it would have you geeking out. But hands down one of my fav reactors!! I would recommend things but honestly if it has stormzy in the title its 100% worth watching haha
@Snorlaxtive2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate you doing these UK reactions even though you might not get all the references. I'm from Northern Europe so I get a good amount of the references but when it comes to deeper cuts in black British culture I'm obviously out of my depth. However, videos like this one from Stormzy are such masterpieces I always make sure to educate myself and the art of things jumps to a whole nother level immediately.

The irony of Khalil Mack bar was HILARIOUS. “Linebacker holding down the line like Khalil,” there are off-ball LBs and in-line LBs that primarily rush the passer, which is Khalil Mack. Idk if Stormy knew that or just knew he’s a LB and wants to make stops at the line, but if he did, that’s incredibly impressive (impressive regardless)

Wabasabe the practice of beauty in certain flaws or differences make them honest and relatable you showed mad respect to the hard bars and cameos are cool but soul spilling words are why we are here! This gave me chills respect and a whole new appreciation for the “levels to this shit” of stormzy! Whoever mentioned Ussain Bolt we now know what he looks like chillin on the couch decades later throw him at a finish line guarantee everyone would have known! Again gems for the familiar tucked away! Don’t be too hard on yourself Cliff! There’s so much in this video that you probably wouldn’t catch if you’re not familiar with UK. This was more than music, the imagery at the end on the balcony ref the wind rush generation was wild, Stormzy with legends and influential black men and women - flipping the script. Including Jamal Edwards mum and sister holding a photo of him ended me! I’m not a massive Stormzy fan but this was beautifully done. At the beginning, Jonathan Ross is one of the biggest talk show hosts in the uk. The number of celebrities in this was crazy and getting Jose to do the ‘shhh’ was next level flexing! If you get the chance, check out LeetotheVI’s reaction he did live on twitch last night, he’s uploaded it to YT and it might help with some of the background.
