I truly believe that people fight and resist the idea of God and Christ existence is because they don't want to be held accountable for their actions. Hell is a realm devoid of God. If you have listened to near death experiences before they describe it as if You are completely stripped of everything God has given you. Freedom of physical movement, love, care, happiness, breath in your lungs etc. I find it rich that atheists/agnostics often have no problem spending an entire lifetime rejecting God, but the moment that you tell them their afterlife would reflect that they go bezerk and talk about how unfair it is. When you love something you let it go. God doesn’t need you to love him, he gives you the choice to do so or not. People expect God to show up on their terms and curse him when/if he doesn’t.

He lives you and hopes that you pursue a relationship with him because he created you to do so, but his will, will ultimately be done regardless of if you reject him or not. Also God is a good, gracious, but also just/fair God. Meaning that all goodness or “decency” comes from him and hell is simply a realm that is devoid of those traits. And also we have to accept that there are simply questions and concepts that we won’t fully understand on this earth.

This young man's example of his parent's love is a good one, but he missed his own point. Parents don't always intervene when their children are about to learn a hard lesson, opting to limit their own power over their child for his/her eventually benefit. God does the same thing at the personal level as well as globally. The Bible is full of stories of the sacrifices made by the apparent innocent on behalf of others. In fact, sin invades all of us so none are truly innocent. The good news is that God SO LOVES US that he provided the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Our lives are by us in a blink of an eye. Our salvation is eternal with a holy God who loves us perfectly.

Christians love God very imperfectly but when they die, because of the sacrifice of God the Son, their love blossoms into perfection in the eternal bliss of union with their Maker. Unbelievers hate God imperfectly, many vacillating between between acts of good and evil based on feelings or intellectual fads but never based in love of God. When they die, their hatred of God blossoms into perfection to the point that if you flung the gates of Hell open and told everyone they could go to Heaven, no-one would leave. Disagree; You can forgive someone for their actions without them asking or remorsing for it; esentially your forgiving them for their actions within yourself and thats what matters to your soul,.......theres no pre requisit for forgiveness, at least there shouldnt be..... heres a question, did you know that 'Jesus' went to hell for our sins, yet there he stole 2 souls from Hades in Adam and Eve!! What does that teach us!? Adam and Eve disobey God, cast out of the garden of Eden, in shame. Only for Jesus to retrieve their should from Hades and take them to heaven.... What did Jesus have a couple of 'get out of jail free cards' given for his birthday!! Jesus died on the cross because he upset the balance within the jewish hierarchy, upsetting the apple cart. Followers Flocking to his side, to be guided yet in turn leaving their previous masters of faith.....The Roman Pontius Pilate had respect for jesus and the work he had done for the poor, and didnt want to crucify him (see letter to Cesar), trying several times to appease the following Jewish' croud by whipping Jesus at different stages.But they continued the call for blood, his own people, whom he was trying to save; yet the rich turned against him and set the mob out for blood.

with regards to why there is so much suffering in this world, it makes perfect sense to me that we happen to live on a planet that was not created specifically for mankind, we happen to be one of millions upon millions of living creatures living in an environment which can be very hostile at times, thanks to science we know exactly why things like earthquakes, droughts and floods occur, these are not the result of God's anger, they are naturally occurring phenomenon.

It makes sense that Earthquakes and Hurricanes are natural phenomenon due to the earth crust moving constantly. That is a Scientific FACT, and the Warm air mixing with the Cold air causing Hurricane. Your logic does not even make any sense. If we are not meant for Earth, We would have already died out.

Hello Bonnie. Suffering is a result of disobedience to God, he stepped back and allows evil, chaos and Suffering. Science can tell us much about this universe, it says nothing of the supernatural, so how would you say Sciences, (study of the natural) tells us anything of the supernatural? Science is supernatural in my opinion, just as Einstein said the most incomprehensible thing is that the universe is comprehensible. You miss the point that in the beginning this universe was perfect, God cursed the ground, and later caused the animals to be dominated by humans, and fear them. It is all there in the scripture.

The problem i have with your answer "suffering is the result of disobedience to God", is that suffering takes many forms, as I said, an earthquake will kill and maim thousands of little children and babies, what disobedience does a small child or baby have committed against God?, isn't it far more plausible and rational that earthquakes are simply natural phenomenon that we can explain. Science tells us nothing about the supernatural because it almost certainly does not exist, outside the mind of human thought. We can't test it.

Why objectively tolerate the endless excuses and not yet tell him if he doesn’t want to accept Christ to move along? Also the type of slavery practiced in Israel in that time was indentured servitude. You had a debt and couldn’t pay it so you asked someone to give you a job in exchange for paying off your debt, the debt was substantial and you were bound by law to perform the job and not quit just because someone else would pay more. We still have indentured servitude in the United States today, because the investment is so high to serve in uniform you must be under contract same as a bond servant in Judea, and you must complete your contract. Your Master would be the Army or Marine Corps or Navy or Chair Force but you still would be bound to them. Master can’t beat you to cause you to lose a tooth or an eye etc but he can punish you to teach you to obey. You get to stay married to your wife and raise your kids. You just can’t come and go as you please though. It’s not the slavery that the Africans taught the European traders. Yes Europe had some abusive slavery before they met Africa but let’s not put all the blame for multiple cultures on one skin color. England and Ireland had a 1000+ year history of sneaking in and kidnapping people and pressing them into slavery. Back and forth. Christ taught us in Torah not to rush to bondage, and to not be cruel to your servant. He taught us to be kind to your servants, to require them to do no work on the Sabbath Day. Many chose to stay employed by their masters after their contract expired. Many today reenlist when their contract is up because they live their master and want to keep working towards retirement.
