NRS straps work really well for securing loads as well, quick to release in case of a wreck as well. Thanks for the content cliff

Good stuff thank you. Close ups of the knots would be helpful if you felt like it.

Those saddle panniers look handy for walking out back to camp with a ram in the afternoon. I have carried two lambs in my saddle bags on my ride. I was with my dad we got two young lambs and they fit in my buddies saddle bags i had switched that morning at camp because his saddle bags were pretty large (his wife made them) and we new we were going to get a couple lambs (we get draw tags for ewes and lambs every 3 or 4 years) and we know our hunting area.

What brand do you like for saddle panniers ? Are you using borium on your horseshoes and snow pads thanks great content
@CliffGray4 жыл бұрын
I've used several different brands and haven't noticed much of a difference. They all appear to be made out of the same type of synthetic material. I'd just buy them based on what fits most snug on your saddle's shape. We usually do not use snow pads or borium on our shoes. We run primarily heel/toe shoes in the later Fall months. During the last few runs of the year, we will periodically run our pack animals without shoes to avoid snow/ice balling up.
