People can land on similar themes, I'm pretty sure he didn't edit Norwegian sunset for this :P But, Jesper may have used it as a base for the theme. Can't deny the possibility.

However, there's been so many other songs with exactly the same melody and chord progressions as each other (not as norwegian sunset), only different in vocals, by worldwide known bands and singer-songwriters (for instance, Beatles, Adele, Green day, and many more) that haven't been pulled down either. Compared to those songs this is quite different in both melody, timbre (instruments) and even has vocals from Norwegian sunset. I get the similarity, but it's definitely still it's own thing too. You could see it as a homage to it, if Jasper indeed took inspiration from it. Although, if it is a homage to Norwegian sunset then it should at least be mentioned in the description. It's the least they could do. Or perhaps refer to it in the title of the song along with mentioning it in the description. Credit where credit is due 'n all. Also, talk to the current owner of Norwegian Sunset and make a deal about it being in the show.

As you wish, what is it you wish to say? I'd also like to mention that, in case of any misinterpretation, I am not against you nor do I mean you any ill. I just mean to say that in either case, whether he intentionally landed on the theme or accidentally did so that the small westernizations, as you call them, are likely sadly enough - when compared to other similar cases of similar songs in the past - to grant Jasper the right to call this song his own. (but not Norwegian Sunset, of course!) I also agree with you in the case that you are right, that it should be different. That at least they should bother with crediting the original. But I'm not sure this similarity is enough to take it down. Of course, if you have an army of lawyers on your hands then you'll win whether you're right or not. If you do have any evidence of Jasper using the song as a base for this song without him giving credit to it, other than the similarity between these two songs, then that's a great start for a case. With such evidence, you can indeed change whether this song stays or goes (or at least gives credit to Norwegian Sunset as it should). I have a lot of hopes for this series. I really love the art style and I think it'll make for a really dark cartoon as well. I have a feeling that's what this is mostly what Liam is wanting this show to be. That would explain why some of the humor in it is mostly just meh kind of humor. But hey a show doesn't always have to have humor in it to make it a good show. Also this theme song is just epic.

That was, I believe, the first time I noticed my strange tendencies as an unordinary human. I gave the raccoon a piece of bread, my subconscious well aware of the consequences. Well aware that a raccoon that is fed will always come back for more. The enticing beauty of my cutting knife was the symptom. The bread, my hungry curiosity. The raccoon, an urge. The moon increments its phase and reflects that much more light off of my cutting knife. The very same light that glistens in the eyes of my raccoon friend. I slice the bread, fresh and soft. The raccoon becomes excited. Or perhaps I'm merely projecting my emotions onto the newly-satisfied animal. The raccoon has taken to following me. You could say that we've gotten quite used to each other. The raccoon becomes hungry more and more frequently, so my bread is always handy. Every time I brandish my cutting knife, the raccoon shows me its excitement. A rush of blood. Classic Pavlovian conditioning. I slice the bread. And I feed myself again.
