Being responsible is the first step. We all have seen where the disrespectful and ruthless companies policy are leading us. Soil and water contamination must not be underestimated. What we do will come back to us whether we like it or not. We are not the problem, but the solution if we change our way to do things and adopt a better waste management.

MUSTAFA ISILAR------Much of the plastic that people believe will be recycled isn't. We don't have the chemical ability to breakdown the molecular structure of a high percentage of the plastic. It's buried in American landfills and the same goes for foreign counties. Lately some of these countries have had large floods bringing landslides and the landfills are unearthed and run into the rivers creating masses of dangerous plastic in huge areas that may get stopped at a dam or other wall like structure where it may be collected again, or it makes itself to the oceans where animals are found to have these plastic molecules in their body cells. I don't believe in so called climate change; it's a political lie. The earth has had much more happen in terms of CO2 and other gases long before man was around, from thousands of volcanos and huge meteors. Humans couldn't change the weather if we all set out to do it. CO2 isn't our enemy. If we go back to 1970 and study all the fake reports that the sky is falling and continue it forward to the present , we would all see how it's all political propaganda.

Agree that there are too many people, but I guess its more of a problem that there are too many people in one place, making it congested and so. That's why the government and businesses needs to branch-out their services to rural areas so people wouldn't flock the cities

Thanks BBC My summary while listening This program's topic is related to the environment, climate change specifically. The main question here is what is the biggest cause of climate change? The obvious answer would be carbon emissions caused by humans. However, recently scientists in the West have focused on another issue which is overpopulation, the ever-increasing number of people globally. Arvind Ravikumar, a professor of climate policy, has findings that are quite astonishing after crunching the numbers. He concluded that two billion low-income people would produce very little carbon emissions while two billion high-income people would increase the carbon levels a lot. This is due to the fact that those with a high living have mod cons including machines and technology to make their lives more pleasant and easier. Therefore, the real problems are actually overconsumption and affluence, but not overpopulation. In an interview, Priti Dhagan, a rich Indian housewife, shared that you could not be judgmental about anybody's needs. In fact, people are drawn by consumer goods which increase their levels of happiness. Generally speaking, her heart wins over her brain so she doesn't feel apologetic about her habit of shopping regularly.
@Truthseeker371

Oh, you are referring to materialism and consumerism. Yes, decluttering and not wanting helps reduce the garbage disposal. Shopholic is a metal problem, lack of being loved. Needs a good talk with husband and therapy. So does hoarding, childhood emotional issues.

There is no scientific link between CC and CO2 footprint. You might have had some point when you linked GW aka Greenhouse effect with CO2, but dropping GW and replacing it with CC was a fatal move for you. And, yes, there are too many people on Planet Earth: the ones that are saying that there are too many people and they should sacrifice themselves first, in order to save the Planet.

The summary of climate change is easy. It is the change of humidity in atmosphere, which produce between the (land)and the(seas & oceans) on the other hand... Occurring of rains, snow, storms, and floods at time and in unexpected places, confirm my theory(the change in the directions of winds)which must be balanced... How to reduce the heat of the earth and atmosphere? We must supply the earth with a natural cooling places... Results: ---------- 1- To balance the water vapor which produces between the( ground)and the(seas and oceans )... 2- To balance the pressures of the air in the atmosphere... 3- To balance the directions of winds which caused the climate change... 4- To control upon the storms and harricans... 5- To revive the the first theory of climate change (dynamic horizontal movement). 6- To balance the percentage of gases forming the atmosphere. NOTE :The lack of water vapor is of land not of seas and oceans... These studies had completed and sent on July 26th 2000... Yousif A Tobiya Forcibly displaced

Mod cons: is short for modern convieniences such as washing machines, air-conditioning and fridges which made life become easier and more pleasant. Affluence(n) having lots of money or owing many material possessions Ex: The rich often live in affluence/ a life of affluence. Judgmental: quick to criticize people.
