About: After recent developments at the U.S. Supreme Court, state and local climate-change-related lawsuits will now head to state courts around the country, with potentially more tort and consumer protection claims to follow. Our panelists will survey the climate litigation landscape; discuss whether this case-by-case approach, as well as the use of novel legal theories, is a viable climate-protection strategy; and assess available alternative approaches that cities and states could pursue.
