I know, I did the climb as a teenager in the 1950's, but we started the climb late evening and made it to the top early morning, it was so different in those days, they had little stalls to have a cup of Tea & rest for the legs, coming down was no fun either, it was a mid term school trip. Sure you guys had a lot of fun.

I just visited 26-31 July, 2018 .I and buddy climbed to Sripada at night. No any light!! We used light from mobile phone until peak, rain and strom too. When we climbed down. God gave gift to us. We saw 5-6 waterfalls ,so lound noise of waterfalls said.. We were so great buddy. Gods blessed us. Thank you Srilanka

Both names are correct. Buddhist use Sri Pada. Christians use Adams peak. These names are used for centuries if not for millenniums
