Hiking To Adam's Peak Sri Lanka 2022 . Welcome To Tarar Support. It is early morning 5 AM. mostly tourists go around 2 AM and reach on the top before sunrise. in this video, I am going to adam's peak. It is a 2243 meters tall mountain located in central Sri Lanka. trekking up the mountain is popular both tourists and locals. This mountain is sacred for many faiths. It is a place of worship for budhists who believe the Buddha’s footprint is located here, Hindus believe the footprint belongs to Shiva, Christians and Muslims believe it is Adam’s first step after being exiled from the Garden of Eden. trekking to adam's peak is a good test of my fitness. The best time to climb is between January and May when the weather is at its best, but do avoid days nearing the full moon and the week of the Sinhalese New Year 13/14 April to avoid long queues to the peak. There are 6 trails to access this mountain but Rattanpura and hatton are best. I am walking on Hatton trail it is short and steep. From my hotel Adam's peak is about 7 Km, usually it takes 4 hours to reach on summit but it depends on your health and fitness. still 450 meters. It is a last cafee shop, now last 100 meters to summit. Adam's Peak is the source of three major rivers in Sri Lanka: Kelani River, Walawe River, and the Kalu Ganga river. It is a 5 feet 11 inches rock. Now there are going on preparation for pilgrimage season, remember which side to go hatton or ratanpura when returning. overall safe but you need to hike with anyone mostly tourist groups visit there so you can join anyone who is going on top.
