Climbed this yesterday and found it very hard at the top part. One of my knees went on the way down and every single step was agony. You really dont realise just how hard this climb is until you are on the top trying to get back down. My toes were killing me. Glad I got to the top as I am roughly 5 stone overweight, fit bit said 30K steps, 4.5 thousand callories 212 floors, 14 miles. It took us approx 7 hours because of the injury. Dont underestimate this mountain.

Well done for Climbing Croagh Patrick . I have climbed it myself last year with my father. You cannot always get good views from a top but if you drop down a few 100 meters you can get lovely view of clew bay. The last part is extremely steep and care is needed when descending or ascending

I've been to the foot of this mountain, but due to bad knees wouldn't even have attempted it. Thank you for showing the view from the top! I did take a photo of the mountain from the parking lot, which I painted in oil. One of my fondest memories from that area.
