Great video, our group (The Rossendale Ramblers) did a slightly longer version of this walk last week in very similar conditions. May 8th - I am enjoying your channel I think i'll subscribe!

@@FatBoysonTourHikingVideos rightly so haha I didn't even realised you could climb through the canyon, its always been in full flow when I've been.

@@wainwrightrocks Yeah sod that if there has been some rain, the team only just made it in the dry, and one who will remain nameless bottled it and went round the long way via a path.

Almost a year to the day we did the same walk and the same route too, climb and tarn apart. Looked very slippery getting up Gordale Scar, so well done to all on that. Loved the tarn but hated the cows, so that would have been my turn back point, I do not trust them at all especially with their calves. The view from Malham Cove is amazing and I was so pleased we were walking down all those steps back to Malham and not up them. Great pub stop at the Tan Hill and Del's flatulence apart, it looked like a great day, cheers Alan

Looks a cracking walk Graham with some stunning views. I will have to pay that area a visit with Carol. Not sure about the climb up the waterfall though! Cheers. Eddie.

Thanks, Graham. Taysia and I really enjoyed climbing the falls, and later walking on the limestone pavement, last August. Wonderful area.

@@FatBoysonTourHikingVideos Yes. Took awhile to decide how to climb the falls. Taysia refers to the Scar as Middle Earth.

I have no problem climbing Gordale Scar but those cows would freak me out!
@FatBoysonTourHikingVideos2 жыл бұрын
Lol, yeah it was a bit concerning, they stare right at you. To be honest I am surprised they are allowed to wander about on such a popular tourist path in light of them being with calf. You do hear of charging incidents in that situation. Thanks for watching Gavin. See you out there mate

@@FatBoysonTourHikingVideos the very popular path from Ingleborough to Horton in Ribblesdale has cattle with calves .There are warning signs with instructions not to get between the cow and her calf and do not run. I was considering that Malham walk this week but it is too hot for me.

Really wanted to catch up with you guys on this one and did pencil it in but as usual work got in the way, i know this area very well and know close by places which don't have people going there which are as nice, may be another day. Great video and i still have to laugh at the intro to these wonderful video's.

they filmed lord of the rings and witcher at gordale scar and the cove is a recognisable location from productions such as the 1992 film version of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1) and Steve Coogan's The Trip

Thanks Stephen, good information which I wish I had researched before doing the video and given it a mention. You can tell why, ver Middle Earth. Cheers Graham
