I love Death Valley. After a trip there back in 2009 I had a wallpaper picture from the rim on my computer until I retired in 2018. In December 2019 I made my first retiree escape south and the first stop was Stovepipe Wells campground where I was treated to a lightning storm and rain. It was awesome. I was back there last year and will be there again in a few weeks. Can't wait.

I bought the exact same tea kettle when I took my youngest son to DV a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, after 5 days of camping, he had his fill, and wanted to go home. We had to pass on Tea Kettle Junction, as it would have added another camping night. I still have the kettle in my camper trailer. Maybe we’ll go back again this winter.

Another great video. When was this? It snowed a little about a week ago...? Wife and I go down/up the eastern Sierra every year. A lovely drive. Been through every pass between Tahoe and Yosemite. Was just there in Yosemite 2 weeks ago....very smokey...cough, cough. Next week down the 101 to SoCal. Another nice drive. We avoid Hwy 5, it's faster, but BORING! 😁
