For the Vjosa River to create the largest national park in Europe within one of the smallest countries in Europe would be a remarkable distinction.

I'm just a spectator and have great respect for the sport and the athletic talent it takes. I was glad to see you using ropes as I know free climbing is so popular but no matter one's ability, one slip and it's over and the thought saddens me. Thanks for a great video.
@jokegred2 жыл бұрын
Just fyi - you're confusing free solo and free climbing (they're quite different); AND, it's actually not very popular. Most people who rock climb don't solo.

I KNEW things would get better in Albania! I was in Durres during end of the Bosnian war (moving equipment out) after I had stopped climbing and noticed how beautiful even the coastal mountains were. We could couldn’t move around without tons of guards and paying off the mob
@RobbiePhillips3 жыл бұрын
Oh jeez! Yeah that sounds terrifying. My uncle was also in Bosnia at that time too. Albania 🇦🇱 is a beautiful country. There are obvs still issues, but I think things are moving in a good direction

Hi, Just wondering which crag has the dogs on the approach? We're heading to this region soon to climb but I'm terrified of dogs. Any info is much appreciated!
@RobbiePhillips Жыл бұрын
This was a crag near permet in the south. I think you can get the dogs anywhere really... its very common, and how well beaved they are depends largely how the farmer trained them or if the farmer is in the area (they tend not to be as aggressive when the farmer is there)
@RobbiePhillips Жыл бұрын
We were told to carry stones in case they attackked. Also don't run! That was a big one... if you run they are more likely to chase you. Just keep facing them and back away
@RobbiePhillips Жыл бұрын
and lastly, i'd just go climbing with locals. They always seem to know what to do :P
