Hey! Love the channel (: Ive just started climbing and I'm struggling to make friends in the gym. Im a 17 y/o beginner, and everyone else is 25-30+ and super experienced. My best boulder has been a 6a, but it feels like nothing compared to everyone else ): Do you have any tips on making climbing friends, and basically how to not feeling like a looser?

Hey man, glad you’ve found climbing! I started when I was 15 and was climbing at a small bouldering wall where everyone was way older and more experienced than me too. Remember that the grade doesn’t matter. Nobody cares how hard you climb :) And the more you climb, the better you’ll get anyway. I found the best way to make friends climbing is to just talk to folk at the wall. If you see someone trying a boulder you wanna try, ask if you can join them. Share beta, work it together. You’ll soon make friends :) And always remember, nobody thinks your a Loser for not climbing hard grades. You’re still so young and have a lot of improvement to make! This is a super exciting time in your climbing career :D Hope that helps a little :)

I just gave the topout a clean. Unfortunately this climb doesn't get done very often and it was covered in pine needles :P It was just a very quick brush on the easy top (not hard moves)
