Ahh I did this in 2014 - you captured so well the “Japanese traffic jam” while going up as well as packing into a can of sardines while sleeping at the last station to the top. I remember having a beer at that station while looking down over the clouds and seeing the sun set it was amazing. 10/10 would climb again although I was told only fools climb Mt Fuji twice. I’d go back for my foolish time!

Hiked halfway in 2019, in September. Actually, 2 years ago today writing this. It was not as busy as this, but it was amazing. Cannot wait to go back. Plan to study abroad my sophomore year of college in Japan.

0:50 wait wait wait, you want to tell me you are not at Narita Airport and this ain’t the line in front of the JR office to get the Tourist Pass? I could have almost sworn 😂 guess my memory isn’t that great anymore.
@hillppari
@hillppari 3 жыл бұрын
I managed to skip JR office tourist pass line in narita airport by going straight to the ticket booth next to the tracks. They assign the tourist passes in every ticket booth so no need to go wait in the inside the terminal.

@@hillppari i Book my flights only to Haneda now after one time at Narita. Jumping into the Underground and getting the JR pass somewhere on the way to the Hotel/Airbnb felt way more convenient then being mostly dependent on the NEX. The Sukiyaki restaurant at Haneda is also one of my favourites, so this isn’t even a choice anymore😅
