CLIMBING NORTHERN IRELAND'S HIGHEST ROAD! MOURNE MOUNTAINS!

This was meant to be around 100km but this would have meant bypassing the highest road in Northern Ireland taking in Mourne Mountains so.... course we had to ride it. Stunning views, and even better stone walls ;)

You need to come down south! Some amazing scenery in Ireland, the Wild Atlantic Way is spectacular of you fancy cycling a 1,000 km or 2. Also, in Ireland, you climb over the gate, not through the hedge 05:00

I checked the activity on Strava and according to that it isn't the highest paved road in NI. Divis' road at the peak lies at around 1500 - 1600 ft, I am not sure if that's the highest there.

@@KatieKookaburra yeah. Not many people know this road but it is just behind my house. It runs between Cranagh in Tyrone and Park Village in Derry. You were very close to it when you passed through Draperstown.
