I m sorry but i don’t get it. All that philosophy and talk for a full black with hints of orange (woa bro is a designer), that cost 30 dollars more I get that he s proud of it, but it s kinda hypocritical to talk about it like it s a « huge thing », a « revolution » and a « minutely designed shoe by you » when bro my little cousin could have come up with this colorway for a shoe that already exists

Just had to say, I was watching another KZbinr yesterday talking about using a 3d printing to make his own shoes, and he showed your shoe when mentioning that they were is favorite! Then I remembered watching your video on the unveiling, and was so happy to see that they were doing so well for you. Congratulations on designing such a great product, and making your dream happy.

I'm going to add my two cents here because the sizing is pretty important. I think unless you have extremely narrow feet, going with the HV is probably the right call. I wear Nike's normally, which I think are fairly narrow, and I still use the HV on the 1.0s. Shoe size wise, I've been wearing Drone 1.0's for 4 years now. I am street shoe size 9.0, and I started out with 9.0 Drones. They were pretty freaking tight and def. performance fit. I have since sized UP to 9.5 for the last couple years because they are slightly more comfortable, and I really don't notice a difference in performance. I have used the Drone 2.0s at a demo, and I am still going to use 9.5 HV's when I upgrade. Fit is pretty similar if not slightly tighter. I have no idea if they will loosen up over time, but the 1.0s don't really break in too much, maybe slightly.

Commenting in case anyone stumbles upon this in the future. Sizing on these shoes is very tricky especially since they use US sizing instead of EU sizing. In my experience, the 2.0s don't break in that much. There's a little give over time but not much (not even close to a half size of change). I think this is because of that one piece molded sole. I have slightly wider feet and the high volumes are definitely narrower / tight compared to something like Scarpa. I also wear a street size 9.0 in nikes. Wearing the 2.0s in 9 is a tight performance fit and my toes are pretty sore after a long bouldering session. FWIW, I've gone back and forth on 42 and 42.5 on Scarpa Instinct VS and I found that 42.5 was more comfortable with no performance lost. I'd imagine a tight shoe like the Drone would be the same. The Drones are by far my favorite shoe to climb with in spite of all this, with the main down side being it's pretty hard to find these in-store anywhere to try on which is crucial to finding your size.

My 2c I wear a street shoe size 9.5 my last drones were 8.5 and they were preformance tight with the drone 2.0s I ordered both 8.5 and 8 and I ended up choosing the size 8. The 8 is tight enough for preformance and I can still wear them for longer than I could I ever wear the orignal drones in a 8.5

Still confused on the sizing for these. I've seen you previously say you sized up 1 whole size from your street shoe in the Drone 1.0 LVs. I'm assuming you're still wearing the LV, so has the sizing changed for the 2.0 if you are recommending 0.5 down in the LVs now?

Years ago I used to size up for comfort but that was over 4 years ago lol I recommend to go based on your regular street shoe size or half a size down for a tighter fit. I’m size 8.5 street shoe and now wear size 8 rockentry drone 2.0 LV Hope this helps clarify!

Can I change the size after the preorder deadline, in case I realize it’ll be a bad fit? Also, in the worst case if the shoes don’t fit, what will the return policy be? I saw the drones 1.0 LV listed on Mad Rock’s European site, and they have 41.5 EU (which is my usual climbing shoe size here across the pond) mapping to a US 8.5, but in the US I normally wear size 9.5 street shoes (EU I wear size 42 on the street), which would mean I should get size 9 US. I’m a bit torn between the two sizes. I’m thinking of ordering a pair of 1.0’s in each size just to try on and return, but that’s assuming the 1.0’s have a similar fit as the 2.0’s. Halp!
