A very well made video that I happily stumbled upon. I only comment when I'm impressed. You're living life.

Great video and what a great view. I’ve passed it dozens of times on 163 and didn’t know you could climb it. It was a running joke with a coworker who also loves the SW if I passed Mexican Hat when I was out there. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be doing what you did any time soon.

That's funny, It get's climbed quite often but it seems you rarely see someone on the summit. Although, I think I made it into dozens of peoples vacation pictures. They all stop and watch as your climbing. It's pretty funny. It is a great view from the top! Thanks for watching.

Wow - from ''how did he get there'' to ''how did he film that'' to ''how is the van moving while he's filming that'' to ''if you fall on a rope wrapping the base, will if fall on or away from you?'' Great video! Almost all my questions answered - love the details on the rope work and protection.

Yes, lots going on in this one. You are astute in recognizing all the difficulties in such an adventure/production. Thanks so much for watching!

That is INCREDIBLE! Knowing you made it down safely to upload your video, I still worried for you a little bit...Have you considered the possibility that your weight might be enough to tip the balanced rock to the point that it falls? I hope to make it to Mexican Hat Rock in April 2024 after photographing the eclipse in Texas. I will send my drone to the top... I will be viewing from below.

Thanks for your concern. This rock is massive and I'm like an ant on an anvil. But it does look concerning in this photo. I hope you make it. It's a wonderful spot! Check out Goosenecks State Park while you're there. It's another one of my favorites.

Great video Peter. Quick question, are you able to have a full tank for your fresh water when you are driving or do you need to fill it up at campsites with your Revel?
@Famagogo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Yes, I can travel with a full tank of water. I fill up once a week or so. It works great!
@BWT5992 жыл бұрын
@@Famagogo awesome. Crazy RV trailers can't have a full load of water or else the warranty gets voided. Lots of damage can happen as I have seen on a few youtubes.
@Famagogo2 жыл бұрын
That would make it hard for wild camping. It's no issue in my Winnebago REVEL OR HIKE trailer. That is a great question.
@BWT5992 жыл бұрын
@@Famagogo glad to know it’s no issue. I ordered a Jayco Terrain 4x4 a while ago, so as much water as possible to bring with me when I boondock at my son’s motocross races is quite crucial. Primitive camping every week end.

not for this old guy - I need a super DJI lift to drop me off at the top

I bet DJI is working on just that. Maybe one day soon!
