CLINIC calls 911 on Journalist 3 COPS show up. First Amendment Audit

This was at the Dupage County Health Department in Addison Illinois [phone]. The personnel didn’t wanna accept the fact that I was exercising my rights to record in public. A mental patient even jumped up outta his seat aggressively acting like he wanted to fight me. And ultimately 3 COPS came including a Sergeant.

This is a great Sgt. Sgt. Fuentes is very educated on the law and what civil rights are. He didn't chase anyone off, he offered respect, took the time to listen, and most importantly took the time to engage with the public and everyone walked away learning something. It's obvious why Sgt. Fuentes is in the position he is in, this guy is a true leader with integrity and what every police officer should be. I believe this so much so that I called and wanted to compliment his service. No rights violated, every one lived and learns something. Great piece of life captured in a video.

Public hospitals are fully funded by the government and operate solely off of money that is collected from taxpayers to fund healthcare initiatives. If the taxpayers pay for the services rendered there, then that is absolutely a public facility.

Fuentes tried like hell to bend the "no privacy in public" angle, much like to 2 initial officers. Some cops just don't want to completely understand basic laws or their just too dumb to. This is a really simple concept to follow no matter if you're a citizen or law enforcer: If a person's body is allowed to be in a place, and their eyes are part of their body and they can see anything FROM that place, then a Camera is allowed to be used by the body and the eyes viewing anything. NEVER negotiate your freedom!!! If there is private information visible to the eye in a place where the body and eyes are allowed to be, then it doesn't make it a crime if a camera is being used by the body and eyes. Only possible infraction would be those that operate the facility not keeping patient info private...
