So I am days away from starting this fall semester back at the hospital. My official start date for my 5th semester in the radiography program is this Monday August 24th 2020. Also the under shirts and scrubs all did not have that itchy tag at the neck which is a major plus! I am sharing how I am preparing for my return during Covid. Enjoy ;)

During clinical I and my classmates are wearing the shield, hairnet, and the masks you bought from Amazon. We are trying to steer clear of Covid positive pts, but as we all know that’s pretty hard to do. This 1st week was exciting, nerve wracking, but rewarding because this is what we work so hard in the didactic part for.. to interact with, position, and radiograph real pts..

I use safety glasses (wrap around style) instead of that riot gear when I go into covid + pt room.

Have you tried fig scrubs?? Im starting prereqs to get into my program in january and Id love to know what brands are gonna be in my size way ahead of time to stock up slowly.

No, I mentioned in this video that I wanted to but they did not have Caribbean Blue which is the mandatory color us students have to wear in my program. However I do want to purchase some once I graduate and finally a working tech 🙌 lol Thank you so much for watching 💕

So far my school requires masks and we have mandatory health checks and sign-ins before heading to class. Also, we can only have half of the total class size within each classroom so I'm only in the room with 10 people. We haven't been told which masks they prefer but overall I feel really safe at school! I know for clinics (which I start in October) we are not allowed to treat Covid patients whatsoever. All of our clinical sites went from over 15 hospitals to just 2! So now I will most likely have rotations on the weekends. I have yet to know what the dress code requirements are at the hospitals but I'm 99% sure they will require face shields

Tiffany Davis Every program is different but we are to attend clinical 5 semester’s out of 6.

I’ve been looking into radiology and I was wondering before I start looking into programs, should I already have knowledge of human anatomy or is there anything that I should know??? Or will they teach me basics as well?

chloe maciel Hi! You should be taking anatomy and physiology 1 & 2 as prerequisites before entry into the program. Check the specific requirements with the program you are going for to be accurate. Wishing you all the best & thanks for watching 💕

It was rough!! You just reminded me I forgot to update y’all on that lol I made it out in the 80 something percentile on the final but still managed to make the honor roll list. Short term learning though because this last semester was jammed packed so like I mentioned in this video I have got to dedicate at least an hour daily sometime after clinic to go over that material again.
