when we played Leverkusen, the German fans on twitter that went to watch it live said they couldn't believe their ears, that they thought there were speakers surrounding them lmao.

some great words there and did a good job of trying to describe the atmosphere. when the crowd roars, it turns our players into supermen and your players into jelly, and there's nothing you can do about it. Its certainly not the loudest stadium in the world, far from it. this is what confuses everybody, but the only way you can understand it, is to experience it. It's a force, that sweeps you along.

I'm a season ticket holder...numerous fans mention how quiet it is - that's cos against certain teams it is! That is just the reality - but when it "goes" (as it did yesterday vs.City) in the big games it is bonkers. You can SEE the effect it has on the opposition.
