About a year ago a woman died from full blown AIDS!! She had a hx of cancer but was in remission. The doctors were treating her for her symptoms but she kept getting sicker and sicker! She was married to her husband for about 15 years!! On her death bed the doctors finally tested her for HIV but it was too late. Turns out her husband had been diagnosed HIV positive 13 years PRIOR and never told her!! He is still alive today!!!

I am having a breakdown here. I met with a needle stick injury in 2023. 3 weeks after nsi I had worst flu of my life. I had fever, scratchy throat, painful swallowing now that I look back even night sweats. I got tested but that test was during that 'flu' period, I am not brave enough to get tested again, but this is killing me. I had every symptom by the book. I am just 25 and I am helpless. I think I'll lose my mind from anxiety.

I was diagnosed with AIDS last year March with only 34 CD4 left with the viral load of 880k. I am so lucky I'm not having any other opportunistic infection such as pcp or any brain infection. Now, I've been undetectable with CD4 of 400+++ and living healthier. But of course when I'm not treated, I've developed skin rashes, facial , legs, arms dermatities , skin fungal infections on skins and nails, candidasis, recurring high fever, sore throat, weight loss, muscles ache, mouth ulsers, severe hair loss as well as severe dandrufts or mycoces (fungal infection on scalp) I dont have hepatitis or others STD such as gonnrhea , Syphllys. Get treated guys. It's treatable nowadays. We are living in 2023 not in 90's where the treatment is not really advance and some countries dont even have proper treatment. U can even married after reaching UVL without worrying of transmitting the virus to your partner or your babies. Its better to get hiv rather than cancer 🙄.

I had cancer went through chemotherapy and radiation, the tumor was 9cm stage 3a lung cancer. The cancer dissolved and I’m now cancer free rang bell dec 2022. My son has acute hiv and doesn’t want to take meds. I think he’s depressed and wants to die😢

@@aleaseknows8334 Great to know you've survived cancer. Your son needs motivation. hiv/aids is no longer dead sentence unlike year 90's and below. Please support your son and encourage him for the treatement before its too late. He will be great as long as he comply to the medication. of course, the medication is lifetime, just treat like your son is consuming daily vitamins. Have faith dear 🙂

@@rajkumar-raj. from my study, after exposure, u need to perform hiv test after 2 weeks of exposure. You can't test for hiv test right after exposure due to the HIV virus windows period. If negative, just keep doing in the subsequent week. until u are convince. Me myself, I knew I have hiv, but I am so in denial until I developed aids lol! If I'm not in denial, I will not developed the above symptoms 🤣

Syphilis doesn't "facilitate" the hiv transmission, but is a factor for the false-positive hiv test. The "hiv-specific" symptoms you mentioned, the rash and altered mucosa, are actually symptoms of syphilis. The impressive chart of the disease progress you showed is only a hypothesis disproven through the 40 years of research. What I appreciate, you didn't repeat the nonsense that one pathogen causes completely different symptoms in different patients. To the other watchers: don't take any presentation as god-given truth, always seek the second opinion.

I found your video after doing a practice osce earlier. It was exactly this, it seemed like EBV infection, but further history gave high-risk behavior for HIV infection. Counseling and consent to test for HIV were important aspects of the osce. Thank you.

PCR IS more faster they can find hiv on three days exposed, So 5 days is unlikely you have hiv to be more accurate wait month and do 4th generation

Hello doctor, I have a question, I person I met said they were on PREP with Dovato + other medicine. But when I search Dovato it says it is only for HIV+ treatment. Dovato is NOT used for PrEP! Dovato is used to treat people with active HIV.

There are 3 once a day meds used for PrEP, Descovy, Truvada and Apretude. You would take one of them or the other, not one plus something else.

If he is taking his Dovato correctly, then he is undetectable and untransmittable, so if he's saying that normal PrEP meds won't work on him and he's on Dovato, then he is most likely already positive.

i took an hiv antibody rapid test after 5 years of the last exposure and the result was negative. however, i had mononucleosis infection a few years ago, which was 3 months after the risk. is the negative result of the hiv rapid test after 5 years accurate?😢

Hello Dr, i had multiple exposures with a CSW in December and started to experience symptoms which i regarded as acute hiv infection. So i went and get tested from December, until April i did 3rd generation tests which were all negative. In May i had 3 different 4th generation tests which were also negative. My worry continues until now because i have a white coated tongue, red tonsils and i had a sore under my tongue, i am also seeing eye floaters since February. On top of that i have some small pimples on my left thigh that start as red then when it dies out it leaves black spots on my skin. On my hands i have some kind of skivvy appearance and the other weird thing is happening in my muscles, they twitch like something is under them...please tell me wat kind of test shld i do to put myself ag ease

Hi, I have a question it has been 6 months since I had unprotected sex. I don't have any of these symptoms except swollen lymph nodes that are movable, pea-sized, and have been there for a few months. Hi thee I just have a question, I have done a bunch of hiv test after going to the dentis, after a tooth extraction I develop some rash on my chest then after around 10 days my salivary gland started to swell after eating, after that I started doing some hiv test probably 10 including oraquick saliva test, INSTI, and last was complete blood work all done by 4th generation test, all of these were done within 2 years, and all came back negative! Should I still be worry about HIV? Thanks.

I got all symptoms but tests are negative with rapid kit. My lymph high 50.6% and Gran low 40.2. Smell cigarettes when no one smoking around. Heavy ears irritated by sharp noise. i had protected vaginal intercourse once at day 0 , yet the condom was torn at day 17 i felt some chills , fatigue , myalgia , then i started to feel pins and needles till now with some muscle twitches As regarding tests : - i made HIV 1 RNA PCR at day 23th and 57th and non detected (done on biggest lab in my country COBAS ampliprep). - i had westernblot test at 50th day and was negative for all 7 bands (including p24) - I did combo tests at 45th day , 79th day and 91th day and all are negative. - I made CBC ,Thyroid profile , ANA , RF .. all are negative , ALL other viruses hep b , c , a negative ,,, yet CMV and EBV IGG positive , IGM negative. Vitamin D low 15 ng/ml (n above 30) , and low potassium 3.26 ( n above 3.50) what is your opinion please , i need help
