Black Honey really is such a great product. I've been using it since I'd borrow it from my mom as a young teen, LOL! Clinique was her go-to brand and sometimes I'd get lucky with my own sample of Black Honey. I love how you can just get a slight tint, or you can build up the color. The best thing about it is it looks gorgeous on all skin tones! It's a beautiful natural lip shade on darker complexions when sheer, or it can be built up for a very flattering shade. The new formula looks amazing; I love the way it builds. I have a few Nyx Butter lip glosses and my favorite is Tiramisu, a nude pinkish brown. It's the perfect natural lip color for my complexion. The texture is amazing because it's moisturizing and not sticky, it's affordable, and there are a bunch of different shades.

Love the OG Black Honey but I’m not a fan of the gloss! It’s super thick and sticky! For reference my fave lip gloss formulas are Tower28 lip glosses and the Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil-Infused lip glosses! Great video as always Matilda! ✨❤️

An alternative for the black honey and the fenty lip gloss (they both looked great but dried out my lips!) is the sheglam glaze daze gloss in grape juice/mocha cake! The first has a nice reddish brown color and mocha has a caramel brown color and, even though the colors fades sooner than I’d like, it keeps my lips hydrated for literally hours!

The NYX Butter Gloss in Ginger Snap has been one of my go to shades for years! I've gone through several tubes of it, however, I've noticed within the past year or so every one that I have purchased, after applying feels like there is a gritty texture in it? I've purchased several Ginger Snap Glosses from different stores and have even made sure to get ones with different batch numbers, but each one feels like there's tiny grit in the formula after applying and rolling my lips together. Not sure if the formula has changed or if anyone else has felt/noticed the same thing?

Yo its funny i had this as a deluxe sample in a swag bag for buying Clinque Happy perfume as i was a Clinque whore in the early 2000s. the macy's clinque girls knew me lol that happy perfume was my signature scent but anyways I remember this black honey slcik stick and i loved it because it looked dark but went on sheer but with some color but i never would have thought it would be so popular today. As it was not such a big deal back then just a nice shade of deep berry. Funny what social media has done to simple products. something to ponder on........

Sadly they're not available here! 💔 So it's usually a forwarding service or friends-bringing-products-back-in-their-suitcase situation. Some brands very kindly mail launches to me as most of my audience is outside Australia and can access their products, lucky things! x

Hi Matilda! I've been a fan of ypur channel for years now and usually I'm a big fan of your dupe videos as they're the best in showing different shades from all price ranges. But this video wasn't as good as usual; i feel like you kind of missed the mark of the black honey lip GLOSS. I don't know about the lipstick, but from the swatches you showed, most of the productz seemed to cater to the tone of the lipstick/balm rather than the gloss. The gloss i find is such a gorgeous shade of sheer dark berry, and the closest you got the shade was the lisa eldridge gloss. The rest were too brown, which is closer to the lipstick/balm rather than the gloss. I feel like if i had used this video as a guide on what to buy if i cannot find black honey gloss or wanted something similar but in different undertones or color ranges, i would be left disappointed as most of them don't even come close. I'm only saying this because i LOVE your dupe videos and find them to be extremely helpful in seeing the differences of products that seem to be in the same range, but this time wasn't it 😅 maybe in the future videos it won't be a problem anymore, but as a longtime viewer and fan, i felt i could give my opinion in case it helps in the future. I admire the thought and work ypu put in your videos, and i love your consistency and professionalism. All the best to you 💜💜
