I enjoyed the intronabout glossy balms vs. tinted lip balms... so true. all the observations are spot on about glossy balms. I keep going back to Hannah's requirement that as a pale skin person we should be able to swipe the balm on without a mirror and keep reapplying the day without worrying about too much pigment. Most tinted glossy balms i can only swipe once because of pigment which isnt satisfying lol. i hate only being able to lightly swipe on one lip and thats almost too much pigment. I relate to Hannah's requirement to be able to keep applying through the day.

Nivea Cherry, I have a balm everywhere, my purse, bathroom, car, even my walking pouch. Cherry brings out your natural lip hue but still adds beautiful color to your face. It’s less harsh than the blackberry and lasts for a long time. If you use it a few times a day, your lip coverage is always there. Note: I am not a red person, at all, but Cherry is more of a plummy pink blue red on me…hard to describe except it brings out my own lip tone brilliantly. It is my favorite lip product and has been forever.

The timing of this is super funny. Right before Hannah began her quest she reviewed and was really enjoying the Nars Afterglow Tinted Lip Balm in the shade Fast Lane. She was really enjoying it and it looked like it would fill a need for me so I picked it up. I’ve enjoyed it ever since but not enough to repurchase (not quite enough body, love the color, the tint level, and that it’s unscented). And I’m almost done with it now, I’m at the very bottom of the tube and will be looking to purchase another tinted lip balm very very shortly. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the whole series and how have the finale. Perfect timing.

My all-time favorite lip balm is so perfect and you can only buy it during certain times of the year because it's not from a beauty brand. Trader Joe's lip moisturizer is one of the best things I have ever used. Seriously top 10 products I've ever used for anything. It is so nourishing and moisturizing, glossy and priming. I don't go through it very fast at all because it is so good at it's job. I could go on forever. It's amazing. It's not tinted so I don't think that would qualify for what Hannah was looking for, but it's so nice!

One more comment because you’ve unlocked my fiery passion for excellent lip products ! If you ever start to look for lip SPF options, I’ve been on the search and can report back. I often struggle with chemical options irritating my lips and physical options looking awful. My current winners are the Tatcha one for tinted, it is mostly zinc with a little chemical filter and makes me lips feel actually healed when I wear it! Then for clear I had to go to K beauty for non-irritating chemical options-the mentholatum melts cream lip is so amazing, I can’t taste smell or feel the spf ingredients at ALL! There are a couple of different versions but I got the one that had more +++ for uva protection.

I know the search is over but may I PLEASE suggest the Japanese lip balm Rohto Mentholatum Melty Cream Lip? Fair warning: it has no tint, it’s clear. But it’s really shiny and so nourishing, and there’s a plumping, lip-filling quality to them (with almost a milky white cream consistency?) that almost mimics glosses and evens out the natural hue of my lips beautifully. I wear it all the time, alone or with other lip products. It went semi viral recently after a Japanese LIP MODEL mentioned it as her holy grail lip care item (can it get any more convincing than a lip model’s HG? Sheesh!). Okay I just needed to get that off my chest-loved the video as always, Hannah!

Phytosurgence Soft Swells is my ultimate holy grail. I have really pale lips (almost ghastly - looking), but lipstick is not practical with my day to day. Before this, I used to just not put anything on because I knew I would be out all day not able to look in a mirror in case it smudged. For me, it's the perfect amount of life back into my face, but it just looks like I have naturally pigmented, moisturized lips rather than having a product on them. Plus, it's not that same shade of neon staining pink.

I have the same problem, my lips are white in the middle. I wear essence Lipgloss number 09 (I think it is called shadow rose?) everywhere. I have like ten tubes of it for every back and my car. Regarding glossy balms, I’m actually curious if you would like MAC’s squirt plumping gloss stick in the shade jet. It feels similar to the Hourglass stick with the plumping minty feel, but to me that sheer black shade is everything! It makes everything look good - on its own it’s a slightly grungier version of your natural lips, and with other colors it’s adds such a nice desaturation and depth to the color. Seems like something you may love for makeup

Interesting! I find the waxy balms to be more drying on my perpetually chapped lips. It's like if my lips aren't lathered on something nourishing and emollient, I'm sure to find my lips dried up by the end of the day. My holy grail all day lip treatment is Cerave Healing Ointment mixed up in a lip gloss tube with a little bit of melted lipstick. This DIY was honestly the only lip product I have that gives me the right amount of sheer tint and nourishment I need on a no makeup day. Sheer glossy balms are a close second to that. Anything more pigmented I just use on the center of my lip for that bitten lip look.

I so relate to you! I'd love to try the Burt's Bees balm, but honestly waxy balms just... accumulate in the cracks of my lips (ugh). They've never felt nourishing or quenching. So even finding a non-tinted balm has been a JOUR👏NEY👏 for me. I thought Working Hands was the solution for a couple years... but I swear they changed the formula or it just stopped working. Enter stage left: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick! From first swipe it immediately became my holy grail. It never feels waxy, goes on smooth no matter how dry and chapped my lips get in freezing winter winds, feels SUPER nourishing for hours and hours, kinda tastes veeeery lightly like chocolate cause... it's cocoa butter. LOL I didn't notice it for the first weeks, until my husband asked me "Have you been eating chocolate?" That's when I put two and two together. But I hate artificial scents and tastes with a passion and the Palmer's swivel stick does NOT have that. Pro tip: It also works great to hydrate cuticles, elbows, or dry skin when you're out and about.

@irenecnx3 ай бұрын
I honestly just don't think even nu beige would be compatible for her application and minimal pigment needs. I think I was the comment that informed her that the romand lip balms vary in pigmentation, which I DO think is true. In fact, I kinda know it is, but ultimately, if you want to do several swipes, the pigment will build up. I am also fair and nubeige is a staple for me, but I do apply it lightly like a lipstick because I don't personally feel like I need to apply it with a heavier hand, but people have different needs and tastes.

I loved hearing the intro because I'm searching for the opposite of you- I want products with LOTS of pigment that are very shiny and very "plush" on the lips. So perhaps that last bit is similar to yours, but still! Now I have more products to try once I get through more of the ones I have now. That Nivea blackberry balm is at the top of the list! My go-to product is the NYX fat drip lip oil (I think that's what they're called?). I love layering them on top of either the ELF glossy lip stains or the NYX butter glosses for even more pigment. I also like the NYX click lip balm in the light brown shade, but most of the other shades don't call to me as much as that one.

Love this video! I too have been on a lip product search. I'm in my mid 40s and have been transitioning from the heavy formula, heavily pigmented lipsticks that I wore throughout my 20's and 30's to a more natural, no fuss look. I bought several of the Burt's Bees tinted balms but I actually hated them. To me, they felt thin and greasy on the lips and had a weird lotion taste and smell. I gave all of them to my daughter. I tried the Burt's Bees lip shines and they're ok but they're a sticky gloss product and I have 2 left of the original 6 I bought and I'm finally almost done with them. Won't buy those again! So, for me, I actually like the Blistex balms (they come in a 2 pack, one is clear the other is pink, I think they're called Silk Effects). Another good one for me is the new(er) CoverGirl tinted balms. They feel so so good and silky and you can build up the pigment if you want. I think for me, once I phase out all of my old products, I will repurchase only the CoverGirl and Blistex balms. Those products really fit what I'm looking for as far as comfort and how I look whether I'm at home or in the office.

I'm so happy you found your winners!! 🏆 I found my winner a couple years ago, and after twenty years of hunting and so much money wasted, it feels INCREDIBLE! 🙌🏻 I ended up creating my perfect one at the Lip Lab, and I've already gone through multiple bullets, it's just so perfect for me. 🥰

I wanted to say thank you for this video!. It came out on a perfect timing. I was in need of a tinted hydrating lip balm and your video appeared in my main page somehow. Today, I bought the Lovebalm from Rabanne and I LOVE IT 🥰 and all thanks to you 😊

I would love to see a “most skincare” video for all kinds of products. I love it when my makeup feels like it’s doing something good for me

My favourite one is the Bobbi Brown tinted lip balm, on my I prefer the one called "Bare Pink" but the line also has nude/brown shades.

I LOVE how you did this. So informative, I've been looking for almost the same thing. Never apologize, I love your content

I've been wearing Burt's Bee's red dahlia or zinnia every day since I discovered them. For people wanting a natural, warm tint, I highly recommend zinnia. The other colors from this line are a little too bright on me, they give you that "just ate a popsicle" look, which isn't bad, just not what I'm going for at work.

I absolutely love Burt's bees clear balm. Keeps my lips in perfect condition, not a single peel since I've used it consistenltly. I bought it in London last year and use it to layer a touch of lipstick on top and create my own "sheer lipbalms". It is one of those things I literally reach for every day without realising. That alongside with brushing my eyebrows makes me feel pretty with very little effort😂☺️

This roundup is amazing, Hannah! As a fellow fair-neutral-olive skinned gal, I have one more drugstore/Amazon option I think you might love: Honest Beauty’s tinted lip balm in the shade Plum Drop (though all the shades are lovely). It’s a rather stiff formula, a sort of jelly sheer that’s buildable, and it’s very smoothing without that awful thick/gloppy feel. The plum shade is excellent on my (our?) skin tone - sort of like Clinique’s Black Honey but a bit cooler, a bit less brown. It makes my teeth look super white! I never hear anyone talk about this product and it’s my number one favorite - and I’ve tried a lot. Would love to know what you think of it!

Taking notes!!! I prefer same consistency but slightly more pigment and not too grippy. I like Chantecaille.

I know I'm late to the recommendations but I've been using Vaseline lip therapy rosy lips (in a pink tube) and I love it. A sheer pink, basically clear, melty but the stick holds up. And makes my lips look more plump. And it has a fruity rose scent that goes away pretty quickly as you apply. Also no weird taste. Sorry for the long comment, 😅

I love how that product applies, but a warning for sensitive skin folks. This one makes my lips sore and flaky by the end of the day. So annoying bc it's a nice product otherwise!

@@emilyjensenius4289 omg so it's not just me! I was wondering why my lips felt "raw" after using it for a while. I have sensitive skin too. I wonder what's in it to do that :(
@kimberluna830612 күн бұрын
@@chelseashift I don't know your circumstances of course, but I've heard you're not supposed to wear Vaseline in the sun (even on your lips). I don't know if that's a known thing, maybe I've just been living under a rock? But I did not know that before, so I thought I'd share.

I know the Kosas one you tried was too pigmented but I absolutely love that formula in the shade Cinnamon Spritz which is a true brown and blotted down it is *chefs kiss* perfection! You might like it

Hello there! I don't know if I'm the only one who thought about this, but with the "newer" title screen 0:50 with the four pictures I thought it would make sense to have coloured the picture of the outfit for fashion videos, the makeup for beauty videos, etc. and leave the others in b&w. So with the title screen you would know the general topic. Maybe it is messy for you to have different edits but I thought it was a cool concept to at least share! I hope it made sense😅

Exactly what I felt! And I loved it ❤ I adored that. This little aside to the audience felt like I was sitting next to her in an in-person conversation and she knew she was going on a bit (I am like this, so I can relate, and I *loved* it), but that she knew what she wanted to say and where her contextual info was going to get to the point. I am like this. I need the person I'm talking to to understand the background context. Otherwise how can I convey my point properly?

YES! The rabanne one is soo well talked about by beauty ppl I trust. I bought the burts bees thanks to u and i think u should try the Espressoh lip balm in “babà” has a really similar colour to the rabanne one and it smells like cappuccino. It’s around 16€ and made by an Italian brand not sure u could find it easily in the states

I have all the lip balm needs and wishes you have listed! So hate to throw a spanner in the works after the winners have been announced… but Lanolips 101 ointment in rose gold is my great love. I’ve been using the untinted 101 as my clear balm for years now.. it’s so good that if I apply it before bed it’s still on my lips in the morning. The rose gold is pretty tinted but it can be applied lightly for a very natural look. .. so in a way it’s the best of both worlds… if I’m travelling light it doubles as a balm or as a lipstick depending on how much I apply. Downside… it’s in a tube. But I’m still sold!

I almost hate to recommend another one at this late stage, but I think the Victoria Beckham Posh Balm lands right between the glossy balm/lip balm categories-- very glossy, very lightly tinted, very nourishing with a thicker, waxier texture that is easy to apply and stays on the lips. Expensive, but it comes in a luxe metal component. No scent or flavor! It's so so good!

Ooh this feels like it will be a very satisfying video, I like tinted lip balms for daily wear, I totally agree about the "glossy balm" they usually feel a little too sticky & similar to a lip gloss.

Home sick from food poisoning and this definitely brightened my day ❤ I’m currently working through a couple of clear lip balms from oKeefes and Paula’s Choice but once I’m done with those I’m totally eyeing those phytosurgence balms 👀
