Just watched Juror 2. What a masterpiece. Clint is a Legend. He is cinema

Been watching CE's movies for over 50 years. Have dozens of classics from "Old Hollywood" saved in a YT File on my smart phone. Watched "The Philadelphia Story" on Thanksgiving day. Clint has made so many terrific films. "The good, The bad and The ugly" 1966 directed by Sergio Leone might have been my first. Many attain stardom in Hollywood. When Spielberg looks up to you. That's a gold star. A living legend.

Clint Eastwood style of directing is not only a good influence in movie making but also in all walks of life.

There are not a lot of people in the film industry that garner universal acclaim & love from their compatriots like Clint Eastwood. Can you ever recall anyone in the film industry saying something negative about him? The man is a beloved American treasure & one of mankind’s greatest storytellers. ❤

The man is a legend. Sad to see his last film be quietly released without fanfare as if it's an embarrassment.
@michaelmonthey5974Ай бұрын
Yeah, I am not too happy with Warner Bros. for not giving his last film a nationwide release despite the fact that it’s getting enthusiastic reviews after all the success he’s given them for the last half century.
@lexkanyima219528 күн бұрын
@michaelmonthey5974 to have a swanson like that, needs to more theatrical release. But the president of Warner Bros was so disrespectful towards Clint.
@michaelmonthey597428 күн бұрын
@@lexkanyima2195 Yeah, David Zaslow shook the studio up when he came in and was upset that “Cry Macho” was made and released even though it was already done before he was hired and kinda put an unfortunate end to the studio’s decades-long “loyalty” to Clint. The big problem is that the new executives and managers at the studio are so obsessed with cashing in on trendy franchises, political trends, and whatever, that they don’t realize they have a good non-franchise movie on their hands anymore.

Some absolutely top notch performances directed by Clint. The 3 leads in mystic river might be the most sustained acting by a trio in a Clint flim that is not spoken about as much as Unforgiven or Million dollar baby which too have dynamic triple performances

And he's still directing!! Wished only that this doco was longer coz man, he's been at this for more than 70 years!!

Go on Wikipedia and read his filmography. It is epic & informative, covering every film in order to give you a different POV than you will hear in this video.
@di94284226 күн бұрын
@BrianCarnevaleB26 Thanks, will do. Am proud to say tho that I am very much familiar with Clint's work. I was only hoping the doco chronicling his work was longer. Turns out, it is longer, this video is part 4. I have since watched all 7 clips. Anyway, M My dad long schooled me on Clint's work. I was the odd one out in elementary school in an Asian country having watched A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, For a Few Dollars More. This was in the 80s and my dad was making us watch 60s films. I have long been a fan and have watches his films long after my dad passed and I imagine long after Clint passes.

I heard Clint Eastwood went to bat for Mario van peebles at Warner Brothers when Mario was going to act and direct new Jack city with Wesley Snipes and ice T. And Mario had worked with Clint Eastwood before on heartbreak ridge. So Clint Eastwood is a real mensch. So I liked that he vouched for him. Because he saw talent in actors like he was in the old days and if they wanted to be directors like him, they’d have experience in working with a professional like Clint Eastwood.

@2:00 Ridley Scott had a similar sentiment, "If you cast right, from a director's point of view, 50% of your problems are over and done with on the day." I am of course paraphrasing sir Ridley but that's basically what he said.
