This is the ultimate male physique without looking like an inflated balloon. He looks powerful, yet potentially nimble. Watching men like this, one gets a stronger impression of how modern bodybuilding has ruined our understanding of what a healthy, optimal man's body should look like.

Clint made two important key points. It's not about training to be a champion weightlifter it's about keeping in shape, and working out makes you feel better. Most people in the US today have no idea how much better they would feel if they followed Clint's advice. I have a simple gym not unlike Clint's in my home. The whole thing is worth probably around a grand. I use it every other day and have for over 30 years. I am 65 and still going strong. You can too.

Well, then, you’re the one who is insecure. Maybe she sensed that about you. Or, maybe you can’t pick women who love you for you and not what they think you want. I’ve got a friend who is stunningly gorgeous. I’m talking Hollywood gorgeous. She doesn’t like the attention. She’s very self-conscious about it. Her husband is a sweetheart. He’s a good looking guy but, not what you’d think she would go for. Obviously, he doesn’t like it when men stare at her or whatever. But, she makes him feel very secure. I’ve known them for 40 years and she’s still absolutely gorgeous. Their son looks a lot like his mother. He strikingly handsome but, he is also very self conscious about his looks. The whole family is beautiful.....inside and out.

My father worked with him in construction in California for a short time. My dad was more muscular than Clint but Clint was alot taller than my dad. Clint 6'6" my dad 6'2". Clint told my dad he had been asked to try out for acting and asked my father to come with him but my dad didnt believe him. So he didnt go. Clint got a roll and my dad missed an opportunity to maybe be an actor. Clint called my dad "Stainless Steel because my dad was also a martial artist and he would punch these rotating roof vents and they would spin around like tops. Everytime I see Clint on TV it makes me wonder what it would have been like to have an actor father. Love Clint in Dirty Dozen. Favorite move with him in it. With most actors, its all show and no go, taking the glory for the characters of the movie scripts and the music uplifting them. As much as I loved Errol Flynn's character in the movies, his personal life couldn't stand up to the stature of the roles he played. And so many were like him. But not with Mr. Clint Walker. His character in life matched his heroic roles. Very rare, and with a respectable modesty. This man has inspired many to strengthen their backbone to resist the pride that ruins.

@Joseph ayala Dr Harrison Pope, one of the leading experts on steroids & male body image, said that pre-80s, the only people who went to the gym were construction workers, labourers and law enforcement. Nowadays most people have active gym memberships. People like Clint Walker and Steve Reeves will always be my favourite. Not just because they were weightlifting in the age before steroids were available (thus showing what the natural body is capable of) but also because of their hard work and commitment in an age where strength training was nowhere near as popular as it is now. They didn't have access to all the tips and literature that is so widely available now. They had to go by what their own body was telling them.

Always admired actors who looked after their physiques back in the 50s & 60s, when it was uncommon...and Clint was one of them. Night of the Grizzly, The Dirty Dozen. Killdozer and Send Me No Flowers which I'm watching right now are some of my favourite movies in which he had played a major character

I was in grade school when I saw him on TV while looking for a John Wayne western movie I forgot the title but one thing I do remember is that,I was so impressed by his physique & his gentle voice.I think a man can be 'macho' not only by his stature but by the way he treats others in a humble way, this man will always be 'superman' for me!

Amazing story, he had a ski pole go through his heart in an accident in 1971. He was pronounced dead till a doctor noticed he had a faint pulse. Rushed to surgery and must have done great surgical work!

I loved watching Clint in anything as a kid. His massive stature was so impressive. Shoulders must have been 46" with about a 32" waist. Any guys that have done concentration curls, would agree with me, that 135 lbs is sick. Man was a gentle giant. RIP Clint.

@hairyman... Are you kidding me?! He looks GREAT for a man of 84 years! He hardly has any grey hair, and he still has that great head of hair too! He is one handsome man. I just saw him in Utah. He's a BIG guy still. And one of the kindest men you will ever meet. He and his wife Susan are so gracious to the fans that flock to him at every event. ...Long live Clint Walker!

Wow, not just on his positive attitude towards fitness. I had always wondered why I had not seen him in more films other than the Dirty Dozen but he was a busy man. The accident I volving the ski pole through his heart is unbelievable. Glad I came across this. Every teenager should have men like Walker as an inspiration.

I think Mr.Walker was a fav actor. And I really liked him his tv series,Cheyenne.I got. To meet him once when he came just south of Memphis,TN in Southaven Ms. For annual L film festival every may or June.He was going on a break and I was just wandering around hotel so I had a birthday card in my hand Andi said we'll this is great timing and I yelled at him 2 or 3 three times before he stopped finally he stopped. And introduced each other and have him the card and he thanked me,and I asked him if there was any way there was that I could get into acting business and he said not presently, but that he LL keep his eyes and ears perked so I gave him my phone number, but never heard back from him.Anyway that's my story about meet movie star Clint Walker.Good Bye have great day y'all.Thomas.

Clint is a favorite actor. His home workouts are impressive and show the actors dedication to his craft. Best of all I believe Clint is one of the few actors of his generation that is still with us. On that note I'll end this by saying Bless you Clint whereever you may be. Will Schaefer
