The Clinton Homes, completed in 1965 had been partially funded with federal dollars thanks to the late, great Congressman Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. whose contributions to his Harlem district in those days were unprecedented. I recall the late Congressman of days past each time I go past the state office building named in his honor, at Malcolm X Blvd and E. 126th. Thank you for this moving recollection of his legacy.
