Bare in mind, we have lovely people like Samuel Jackson, Morgan Freeman etc. At what point does it become "too much"? 10%... 20% .... where is the line? @@silkscreenart5515 every new group that came to the United States, was originally treated as inferior, if not subhuman. Let’s take a look at US history. The Irish were ridiculed us being monkey like drunks and despised, because they were Catholics. The Italians were also despised because of their Catholicism, and considered criminals as well. I need hardly discuss the hatred that was directed against Jewish immigrants. The Chinese were the first immigrants to actually be excluded from the United States in the 1880s. They were also brutally persecuted. The Polish, Russians and other eastern Europeans were all considered to be inferior. The anti-immigrant hatred got so bad that it caused a rebirth of the Ku Klux Klan. I have a clipping from the New York Times in which Donald Trump’s father was arrested at an KKK demonstration in New York City. You should all look up that article and read what the head of the Klan said about the Irish. In fact, the clan won and in 1923 congress passed a law greatly reducing immigration.
