I bought what I thought was going to be a fire salamander from a reptile show, and the creature was buried under moss in a small container. I didn't realize that the salamander that I bought was actually a reptile, a fire skink. I am kind of peaved about being tricked into buying something else, but kind of interested also.

I actually have a baby fire skink at my work I was considering buying, but it has developed such an attitude problem. It's only a few inches long (about 4), still has the blue tail, hangs out above the substrate, but has begun latching onto the glove if I reach inside. As small as it is, it has quite a strong bite!

I have just found your channel and subscribed. It is great to see content on Skinks as they are my favourite species. I had two Sandfish Skinks, maybe 8 years ago, when there was hardly any information on the internet about them and even less elsewhere. The information that was out there said that you never see them as they are always under the sand, however that is not true, or at least I found it to be untrue as after six month or so my Skinks regularly came up having a nosey whenever they felt like it and yes, sometimes they may have been out of site for a while, but I think that was when they were ready to shed. They are good to watch feeding and the way they swim in the sand unnerved a few of my friends, but it was a different response when they Skinks popped there heads up. I could go on about them, but it would be great to see you do that. They are amazing reptiles and it would be great if you could do a video about them. The downside to me was that they were wild caught at the time.
