Great example, thank you. What an amazing creative tool when you use it like this. I've been enjoying using hardware sequencers like digitakt, OP-Z and Deluge because of this type of probability arranging, so it's really cool to see it's possible in Bitwig as that's one of the things I was concerned about losing

very nice track at the end you got!

I am new to Bitwig and wasted a couple of hours today trying to do something like this by setting different time signatures on the clips. That sounds like the obvious way to do it, but didn't work. Nice to see that changing the note and clip lengths is something of a workaround.

This was awesome, thanks for the inspiration! Would be very interesting to see how you would revisit this approach in Bitwig 4 now that we got Operators and comping inside clips.

Intriguing! Never saw any function in the Clip Next Action, but this looks very creative! The only thing missing in this video is how you would proceed to the arrange window? Eventual you would like to 'render' these Next Action loops to the arrange window. How would that work?
@PolarityMusic4 жыл бұрын
you can record the clips to the arranger. it is this what you mean?
@audiunt4 жыл бұрын
Polarity Music Yes, at some point I would like to transfer the sequences made in the clip launcher to the arranger. To create breaks etc. and to be able to export a complete track. How would you record the clip sequences to arranger tracks?

Excellent tutorial (as they all are). Wouldn't it be possible to do something similar to Cthulhu in Bitwig using MIDI effects and modulators? I've been trying to work it out but no luck so far...
@BowlChamp6 жыл бұрын
kav okei polarity himself actually has a chord chain at least. If you go to package manager on your dashboard then artist collections and download polarity tools. Then in the presets tab type “polarity” and click the result. You will get a chain that deals with chords similarly to Cthulhu (albeit a lot simpler)

Thanks Liam, I downloaded that as soon as Bitwig released it - excellent isn't it? Cheers for the tip though

There really isn't enough Bitwig videos. I would like to switch from Ableton because I don't like the mixer. But I keep staying because of the Push and all the available videos.

@PolarityMusic5 жыл бұрын
you dont need to but you can. or just mix it with regular methods of generating structures & sounds.
