What a treat. Fresh Vincent content! So cool that we are getting this. I always thought his presence in the kitchen was more frightening than his movies.

Oh, I love Vincent Price! My all-time favourite film star. I have the cook book from this show, and it is a lot of fun. The show is from the very early 1970's, and Vincent Price agreed to do the show, as long as the ingredients used were available to anyone who wanted to try the recipes. Some ingredients, that we take for granted, like types of rice, or pasta, or even olive oil, were not common then - so Price and the production team telephoned supermarkets all over the UK checking on the availability of food items. Just imagine being the manager of, say, a Co-op in Barnsley, and hearing Vincent Price's unmistakable voice asking if your shop stocked Parmesan cheese! But that's what happened. And the show went on. I remember seeing it as a kid, in the early afternoon.

Thanks for that tantalizing trivia about this 70s British TV series. Mr Price was one of my fave stars & I wished he'd done a similar show here on American TV .

I fear that if I do not watch Vincent Price’s cooking show while unfathomably high then I will never truly actualize as a person.

Cool clip! Thanks for uploading for us to enjoy! Hollywood Forever Cemetery Tour Guide/author/film historian Karie Bible brought me here. She's ordered the Blu-ray set! Hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed seeing this fab footage!

My copy has just arrived in the post today! It’s a very sad fact that we’ve become a pale shadow of what we once were, today. Good quality wholesome family shows like this, and I’m so pleased that this was made in the 70s because it has that 70s aesthetic, are just not made any more. The decor, the appreciation one has for for the host, the respect for his audience and the humour - it’s all there. This is a Saturday night thing. You get a warm cosy feeling with programs like this. It’s also very sad that these are days long gone. I’m only 31, but my brother who was born in 1974 likes to tell me stories of what life used to be like. We need to preserve material like this because the way that modern times are becoming, the more desire there is to go back to the way it used to be.
