She and her mom are incredible and so talented. I love them most when they are comedic like this but I did also love that she kept it real in that one clip where she really laid out there how distraught her mom was because although we all by common sense know a woman would be it was important to tell it like it was jokes aside. They were honest classy and amazing women and the fact that her mom literally passed a week after her was so heartbreaking but very telling of the love they had for one another. Great women.

Well, the biggest guilty was the husband. Why do people still tend to blame the third part when there's a husband who was the one commited to his wife and kids?.... Elizabeth was a family's friend but... he was the one who had a family... it's easier to blame the outsider since she doesn't stop loving her father but in fact he was the one to blame if it was supposed to blame anyone. I 'm a Star Wars fan, I love Carrie fisher, but she revealed she had a relationship with Harrison Ford during the filming of Star Wars original movies. I mean, we're talking about a trilogy that came up from 77 till 82 or 83...And didn't Harrison have a family by then?...So...I mean....Carrir Fisher also got involved with a married man...So...you see what I mean?...We are all humans.
@williamf45445 жыл бұрын
they were equally to blame - he should have thought of his family and she should have thought of her friend and kept her legs shut for once in her life

@Marjo First of all, Eddy had the hots for Elizabeth when Mike was still alive. He admitted that. Eddy took advantage of her pain. When Mike died she was destroyed. She said later that, stupid as that sounds, she was trying to bring back Mike with his best friend. Eddy took total advantage of her state of mind. The whole thing was Eddy's fault.
@MJLeger-yj1ww4 жыл бұрын
@Marjo You don't know for sure what went on, no one really does. But people are always eager to pick one side and they get hung up on that and close their minds to anything else. Love, loneliness, close sympathy, can lead to sometimes where it shouldn't lead, but no one but the parties themselves really know what was in their hearts!
@MJLeger-yj1ww4 жыл бұрын
@Marjo You cannot accurately call names! Elizabeth did NOT have affairs, she had a strict up-bringing of probity, and believed love and marriage were synonymous; she married her men! There is ALWAYS two sides to a story and people only have conjectures, suppositions, opinions, and they can all of them can be wrong sometimes! Simply, it's not for us to say.
@MJLeger-yj1ww4 жыл бұрын
@Marjo I'm well aware of Taylor's background and adult life. I'ts been talked about and recorded enough, both accurately and inaccurately! However, it's all water under the bridge and continued discussion about it us futile is of no value in trying to persuade me or anyone else! It's history!!

@@kateichacker3145 Elizabeth Taylor had pain her whole life, she broke her back in a horse fall in National Velvet but the was NOT an addict per se, although she was given medication by her doctors for several issues. Everyone who takes medicine is often accused of addiction and still are today only it's more true today. She did take meds as prescribed and she did imbibe in alcohol though, as many did in her era. She had a strict up-bringing and strict morals that did help her cope in some rough times with her health and other problems, but she was quite moral and well-liked among her peers. ET was very direct, she said what she thought and her honesty was not always appreciated but she did put her money where her mouth was, she gave a lot of her time and money to those charities she supported. As for going to Betty Ford, it was as much for a secluded rest as anything, and very "en vogue" at the time! Where there is great natural beauty in a woman, there is always jealousy and negative talk and Elizabeth had her share of that but she was the most bankable actress of her era and well respected by her peers. everyone has the right to speak their mind and give their own opinion she carrie fisher happened to have been apart of a story that apparently is still "hot " scandalous news even now and you can see in her face how annoyed she was that she had to keep answering the same question ....she could've gotten an oscar and they'd still ask her about her parents and how it made her feel!

Carrie never got to talk about her Mom nearly enough. I miss Carrie much more than I ever will anyone else.

Being privy to this situation with Debbie, Liz and Eddie through what was written about it by others, not them, I always thought Debbie was classy about it. Someone you knew well,(both MGM stars), that marries your husband could not be easy ! And I didn't think Liz loved Eddie-certainly not even close to how much she loved Mike Todd-but he probably got her through many rough nights after Mike's death.

Debbie's (...and Eddie's) son Todd Fisher is still alive. He has remained under the radar for most of his life, deliberately, from what I understand - and one can hardly blame him. He appeared in an interview memorializing his mother and his sister, which was very touching and well done. He seems to be an intelligent man whose head is on straight. I certainly wish him well.

Carrie Fisher had to have sense a of humor because of the PAIN it's what artists do. She profited from her journey and really enjoyed her life.
