I met a Taxi driver in Stuttgart who picked Elisabeth Taylor at the airport in the late 60s. She was with a woman friend. She realized he recognized her. She was very cordial to the driver. He saw all of her films and asked her about them. She answered everything and he listened for the most part. After a half hour, he got to where she wanted to go. He said that American celebrities tip really good and European celebrities tip better than average, but no way near what the Americans tip. She however went overboard. She gave him the best tip he ever got in his life.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor was a living ICON! I always found her to be inspiring. From telling off Senator Jessie Helms in a press conference to representing and giving a voice to people who died of AIDS and who are living with HIV. What a woman! Kathy Ireland said it best, she was a woman of "firsts" May God Bless You, Dame Elizabeth!

It took her quite some time to figure out what her fame was about and for. But once she did she was all in wrt being an AIDs activist. ❤ Burton was correct when he said she will never be forgotten. The internet has made that true.

There must be more than one heaven. You know she is up there with the souls of thousands and thousands of gay men that she tried to save during her time on earth. That heaven will have the best food, the best looking men, the best fashion, the best garden and the best jewelry. Rock, James and Montgomery are courting her and she will float peacefully on a cloud for ever. Liz was already an angel on this earth. In heaven she will be the queen! Thank you, Liz.

I think Elizabeth was great in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? She had to rely on her acting skills in that movie. She was made to look older and unattractive in this movie. She could not rely on her famous beauty like in her other popular movies. (Cleopatra) Seems people really enjoyed to see her beautiful face, but I think she wanted more than that. She wanted to act and later in her career she wanted to help people in need. The Aids pandemic really made her want to help.

"Elizabeth Taylor" Miss Charm!.. She is, the same one, shining, hypnotically beckoning and inaccessible, from us inexorably retreating Universe "Elizabeth - Woman of Women". I can’t help but admire you. I look at the screen - and tears drip. The thunder of enthusiastic applause has subsided - You appeared in the world, being great prose!.. Blue eyes, their bottomless depths, Conquered the souls of giants. Internally - gullible and modest. Externally - the noise of the palace fountain! From a calm note to an inner tear - Sometimes she was obedient, sometimes naughty ... She is cute and enchanting, fabulously beautiful! - Refined feminine forms. Exciting our blood with its charisma, With the gift of sensual hypnosis - Sometimes, she quickly flew like a comet, through life - Sometimes, our beauty just blossomed, being a shy rose: Caravel among fishing boats; Queen, in the midst of ordinary people; Cleopatra! - Passionately, but with genuine care... Her femininity radiated everywhere! Having absorbed life with a field blade of grass, Keeping the spirit - with a share of the lovely eccentricity of the wind, by the bird - Shining with witchcraft nature, Great! “She is a true sovereign!” Woman - a shining world; Mother-night of the universal beginning - With the light of the moon, she has silvered us, She sanctified us with crystal clearness!.. She swam softly through the sky like a young month. She smiled at us in a pink sunset ... The time of triumph has stopped - It was marked by thunder and lightning! October 9 - 10, 2019 (K.S.) St. Petersburg

When they asked her to take the role of Cleopatra, she said only for a million and some share in the profits and they agreed. I don't remember the profit earnings or how that works, but apparently, she was the first woman actor to earn a mil on a film.

Wish Liz would of apologized to Debbie. What Liz wrote in her note to Debbie was not a true apology and Debbie was a true friend to her. Eddie Fisher was not worth having and his failure as a husband was NO reflection on Debbie. But glad the girls could work it out toward the end. Debbie was a cute/pretty talented actress, singer and dancer in her own right. Plus a good Christian woman. Elizabeth was beautiful and seemed to be a no holds bar person, sometimes with tunnel vision. She definitely lived a highs and low life. Andy Williams went through a similar public humiliation with his first wife and murder charges against her famous lover. Both Andy and Debbie were troopers.
