Kawhi is single handedly gonna have the most confusing and debated legacy when he retires. He’s gonna have similar accolades to guys in the top 15 but he’ll retire with less points and less steals than Thaddeus Young because of how little he plays. He’s not even on the top 250 scorers and here’s all the people drafted the same year as him with more career points: kyrie, kemba, klay Thompson, vucevic, jimmy butler, and Tobias harris. He has less points than these guys drafted years after him: middleton (2012), cj McCollum (2013), Wiggins (2014), KAT and Book (2015). Isaiah Thomas was drafted the same season as kawhi, only had around 4-5 season starting, maybe 8 or 9 seasons of rotation minutes, and is out of the league. He sits only 1500 points behind kawhi and averages 8ppg on his career compared to kawhis 20ppg 😂

When you read his criteria it says that peak usually is more important than longevity, but it’s not always. @reaper_is_unavailable2 жыл бұрын
as @@dawsenchastain3466 just said, plus a lot of the arguments attached to longevity that he made (I'm thinking of KD's jump) had to do with being good for long. Honestly, in a one-to-one skillset and peak argument I would take CP3 6/10 times over Stockton, but that nearly insurmountable assist record is goated for a reason, and while it is a longevity standard, it is a representative of Stockton being great at that aspect for a pretty long time, so literally because of that record, I would put Stockton slightly over CP3... @DashRendar2 жыл бұрын
@@zackd9032 lol. I mean you're not wrong about him contradicting his own criteria every step of the way. I'm just saying, to isolate the case for Chris Paul going over John Stockton specifically...on the one hand, we're presented with the framework of "they have similar career numbers though CP3s are slightly better overall, all things considered"; but on the other, Stockton has two all-time records. Those records cross well-beyond a "peak vs longevity" argument (even though really that's a skills argument, which was one of the criteria). Those records are achievements, pure and simple. And they're not super close, either. CP has roughly 4,000 assists and I think roughly 600 steals to make up before he can take those records, and neither seem likely for him to do. I don't think that's being enough consideration, or that jxmy is getting enough credit on THAT particular call. Now, if CP3 wins a ring, then you HAVE to bump Stockton off the pyramid for him. I don't wanna hear no type of arguments if that happens. But for now, I think the argument to keep Stockton on and CP3 off (if we're not adding new people to the pyramid) is valid.

16:38 the answer to that question is simple this is the goat pyramid according to the mind of one James issac highroller
MJ is better than Lebron on both sides of the court! When you look at Jordans' just career and the way that he did things is just absolutely remarkable. In fact, the moment that Jordan got an All-star he never lost 2 games in a row. About domination, there's is no greater example than Jordan. He truly dominated the sport in every aspect. Jordan is also considered as the best 2-way player in the history of basketball. He's the only player in the history of sport that has 10 scoring titles and has 9 All-first Defensive teams and also a DPOY. There's no player that has ever played basketball that has that type of resume when you're talking about an argument of who was the most COMPLETE basketball player to ever play the game and no one comes close to Jordan. Then when you also factor in the fact that he was able to 3peat 2 times. You also factor in the fact he has the highest scoring average in regular season history in the NBA. He has also the highest scoring average in the playoffs even higher than Chamberlain. Then you also factor in his cultural impact, fear factor, the beauty of this basketball game. I don't think that Lebron getting that records. That's why the MVP trophy from now on will be called "The Michael Jordan Trophy".

Jimmy is right tbh. I can see an argument being made for CP3 over Stockton or whoever because he has the longevity of being really good but the just flat out bad playoff performances really hurt his case so I have no issue with that. If we're going purely off regular season games Jokic would be a lock but he’s also done nothing in the playoffs and still has a ways to go in his career so I don't think keeping him off is all that crazy. James Harden is an absolute pass for me,. The teams he "led" sucked in the playoffs because he did, he played absolutely no defense whatsoever in his career and is just too inconsistent to deserve a place as a top 30 player all time. Harden was too busy going to strip clubs with Lil Baby and this man Clique is comparing him to Scottie Pippen who's one of the best wing defenders all time, actually showed up in the playoffs and averaged 16/6/5/2/1 playing next to Michael Jordan lmao

Ughhhhh, he repeatedly said his pyramid is TOP 30. SO IF HE TOOK OUT 2 PLAYERS FROM THE ORIGINAL, MATHEMATICALLY, ADDING ALL THE 5 NEW ONES HE MENTIONED WON'T MAKE SENSE. And your own ranking was only based on one of Jimmy's criteria, which is skillset. Jimmy had 4 criteria. He clearly explained why Harden is not there, because of playoff success, which is part of accomplishments. While you talked trash about Pippen, who was the 2nd best player on a championship team, who fvcking won 6!!! I could go on.

@@bolbol1839 stop it AI is maybe the most overrated player of all time. One flukey run, shot under 40 percent from the field, got past the 1st round 3 times in 15 years and shot his teams routinely out of playoffs. All metrics and number would suggest that Harden is way way better than AI and it ain't even close. Harden averaged 29 8 and 7 on 58 percent true shooting in his time in Houston which completely and utterly dwarf AI's stats for the same time period. AI was washed by 30 and didn't influence the game in anyways except his inefficient scoring. There isn't even a point of debate between these two tbh.
