I owned several CLK55’s. My current one is 04 so basically same car. I bought it with a secondary cat/muffler delete & it had pretty bad drone & performance…lacking serious torq. Sounded OK tho…but I rebuilt the exhaust from scratch after the cats to a true dual all the way out the back. I picked up 25whp on Dyno. Highly recommend to do something similar if truly serious about HP gains. Proper piping size is key tho as these motors arnt pushing huge hp #’s

Sounds awesome man! I’ve got an 04’ clk55 I cut the secondary cats out and left back muffler in, sounds nice but after hearing yours I might remove back box

i have an 04 clk55 not sure if urs is also an 04 but where i live emissions matter so i’d have to keep my cats, but i’d remove the muffler

I find the CLK63 sounds next to identical stock as this one this with these mods, as well as the CLK500. The C63 muffler works fine with the M113 engine, it will give you a very refined exhaust note.

OMG fix the bloody SRS Airbag warning light that's on the dash.......you people modify and bastasice these cars with no regard to safety, you do all that modification work and yet compromise safety, so reckless in my opinion......BUT.....it does sound good!!

The light is for the seat belt That was removed for a 4 point harness. But thank you and I take safety crazy serious
