I feel like a fossil sometimes. I remember when this portfolio was published. You'd see ads for it for sale from Bud Plant on the backs of magazines like Savage Sword. There was no better inker in 1984 than Terry Austin. Love that stuff.

I’d agree with you on Austin. I can’t think of another inker who exclusively was a superstar all his own; in addition to his many stellar pairings with Byrne, Leonardi, Art Adams, Simonson, Marshall Rogers, Golden, Chaykin, etc. The only pairing that doesn’t quite work for me is Austin over Frank Miller on Daredevil 191 and What If? 34. Austin seems almost too clean for Miller’s idiosyncratic pencils.

@@InazumaStudios1 --- It was an odd pairing and I have mixed feelings about it myself. Some styles just don't mix well. I like ketchup and I like oranges, but I don't put ketchup on my oranges, you know?
