In most cases it is best to replace the entire bar. You can find them in my ebay store.

no matter what the distance is my chime hammers bounce. Ive adjusted the tail up and down as well as the hammers closer and farther away from the rods. They bounce and sound flat. Sometimes they multiple strike. Once in a while they fall and sound really good but most of the time dead. Any ideas???

You might want to check to see if you have small springs at the bottom of the hammer levers. Sometimes the springs get out of position. If there’s any manufacture info on the back plate of the movement, send it along and I’ll look up the movement and see any other ideas I might have.

@@JRCLOCKER The only thing the movement is stamped is patent pending. The clock is a sessions bim bam (2 chime rods) mantel clock with a pendulum. The clock door that has the instruction sticker is stamped in red with No. 802. It is an eight day turnback clock. Would you like me to post a video on my channel of the clock?

@@JRCLOCKER As you requested, I posted a video of the clock on my channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn7KdmSQoZZmabc Sometimes the hammer strikes louder than others. Sometimes it will cause buzzing on the chime. Once in a while a single strike is loud and clear, but most of the time it is dull and somewhat muffled and on the longer strikes such as 10 oclock it is a little different each time it strikes. What do you think about the adjustment on this clock?

Hi.my Tempus Omnia grandfather ,made by C,Short,Brighton,uk ,won’t strike until I lift the stop/ go rod at the back ,and “ wiggle” it up and down.does the chimer chain have the heaviest weight out of the three,it keeps good time but the chimer is driving me nuts.😊any advise appreciated.😊
