I say clock's on, like you've stated most of us know what people run, backside, front side. Then you take no prep cars to timed events, Big tire, radial and in-between, Kye winning Snowbirds with his NPK car which is same chassis and drivetrain of a promod, Tin soldier Charlie Brown and Billy SRC going to the Finals at Cletus race even though there "no prep" cars racing radial prep, the Preston's, Ryan Mitchell, Joey.....the list goes on and on with people that will be fast, the only ones upset with times shown are the slow ones or just straight up Hustler's.
@williambarger850618 күн бұрын
Kye's car is basically the same, minus one major advantage for a pro mod. Kye's car is no prep kings +/- 1" of factory wheelbase. His car is not stretched, or narrowed in the front. Other that that, I agree with everything you said. Turn the clocks on. Had to point that out, because I think it's a big advantage for a pro mod.

Racing has changed so much over the years and you can't please everyone. It doesn't matter if the clock is on or off. I agree so much with Randy. I've so many racers get burned down but the one that burned them down doesn't want the clocks on. Too me that's just a dirty racer and makes people want the lights on.

It would matter if we as spectators watched a full race and all cars that raced ran mid 14s😂. Imagine people setting through a couple of bears bumping in, sounding raunchy, and run a "real" 14. And the racers say they are running 7s, pulling the chutes at the big end, not fast enough to expand the chutes. Everyone would be screaming "CLOCKS ON!"

Not all of us can afford to run a "fast" car. 5 second cars are far from slow. Hell my coyote stock style Ranger runs 6.05 but its a completely stock coyote with a g force trans and I am still getting used to this new black magic clutch. Oh, and I can drive my truck to the track and back 50 miles without issues.

This is the difference between a "RACECAR" and a "car that you treat like a racecar" lol no disrespect, and simply for perspective the drag and drive cars are legit racecars that do exactly what your car does except they run high 4's to the 1/8th @damianlindsey6177

Naturally grudge racers don’t want clocks on. In class racing, if clocks are on, promoters will have to index classes appropriately and of course times will help to do that. If not, clocks on will eventually hurt car count. Once guys find out that they can’t compete, they won’t enter knowing that most likely they’re just donating.

No, it absolutely doesn’t matter. Some racers act like a time is top secret information. Who cares… if you’re fast, everyone is going to know it. You’re gonna run whoever you draw, so it doesn’t matter. Clocks should be on. In fact, it’ll bring out more spectators in my opinion.

There needs to be classes for those cars that just aren't million dollar cars. Most guys can put together a small tire car, more affordable chassis, still a good motor and be competitive.
