Or when she said that she'd sometimes wake up In the morning and find something funny, she'd turn to the other side of the bed to tell Will only to remember that he's not there, or when everyone was telling stories of Wills life on his death bed. But what got me the most, was how Will died. Will died by looking at both Jem and Tessa smiling and then they saw the light go out of his radiant blue eyes. (Cries hysterically)

"She remembered when Will had died, her agony, the long nights alone, reaching across the bed every morning when she woke up, for years expecting to find him there, and only slowly growing accustomed to the fact that that side of the bed would always remain empty. The moments when she had found something funny and turned to share the joke with him, only to be shocked anew that he was not there. The worst moments, when, sitting alone at breakfast, she had realised that she had forgotten the precise blue of his eyes or the depth of his laugh; that, like the sound of Jem's violin music, they had faded into the distance where memories are silent."

“Of course you can have a true Shadowhunter name,” Will said. “You can have mine.” Tessa stared at him, all black and white against the black-and-white snow and stone. “Your name?” Will took a step toward her, till they stood face-to-face. Then he reached to take her hand and slid off her glove, which he put into his pocket. He held her bare hand in his, his fingers curved around hers. His hand was warm and callused, and his touch made her shiver. His eyes were steady and blue; they were everything that Will was: true and tender, sharp and witty, loving and kind. “Marry me,” he said. “Marry me, Tess. Marry me and be called Tessa Herondale. Or be Tessa Gray, or be whatever you wish to call yourself, but marry me and stay with me and never leave me, for I cannot bear another day of my life to go by that does not have you in it.”

Jem playing the violin for Will while he was on his deathbed, and Will passing away peacefully afterwards, with both Jem and Tessa by his side, is hands down the most emotional, bittersweet, even somewhat spiritual scene I've ever read. It was beautiful and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. I don't want to sound like I'm exaggerating, but I felt hollow after finishing the book. Will, Jem and Tessa's love for each other is so well written, definitely way better than any of the characters on TMI. I just love this series. I'll definitely be rereading in the future.

“Simons a rat” Isabelle said darkly. “Did he do something to you?” Alec was full of brotherly concern. “Did he touch? If he tried anything- “ “No, Alec,” Isabelle said irritably. “Not like that. He’s a rat.” “She’s drunk,” said Jace, beginning to turn away in disgust. “I’m not,” Isabelle said indignantly. “Well maybe a little, but that’s not the point. The point is, Simon drank one of those blue drinks- I told him not to, but he didn’t listen- and he turned into a rat.” “A rat?” Clary repeated incredulously. “You don’t mean...” I mean a rat, Isabelle said. “Little. Brown. Scaly tail.” “Father...” Gabriel began. “Father is a worm.” “What do you mean, Gabriel? What did Father do?” Gabriel shook his head. “He’s a worm,” he said again, tonelessly. “I know. He has brought shame on the name of Lightwood, and lied to both of us. He shamed and destroyed our mother. But we need not be like him.” Gabriel pulled away from his brothers grip, his teeth suddenly flashing in an angry scowl. “You’re not listening to me,” he said. “He’s a worm. A worm. A bloody great serpent- thing” Guess it’s a Lightwood thing.

I was bawling my eyes out at 2:30am yesterday😢 I've never cried to a book before and Clockwork Princess was a first to me. My tears started falling when Jem played the violin when Will was in his deathbed. Like seriously. How can Cassie be this cruel?! Although I also love the ending because Tessa technically ended up with the both of them.

your right she did because there's a whole other time period we only know parts of in the 1900's because that's, when the last hours takes place because it's in 1903 when will is still alive because in the epilogue of clockwork princess he dies in 1937 and then Tessa ends up with Jem in 2008 so like a whole ceunrty, would have passed in between then which means she ends up with Jem near the end of the events of heavenly fire

Honestly, the last time I was this involved with a character was probably with Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. Will Herondale is one of the best characters I've ever come across with. He's just so loyal, so raw and so so passionate, it's insane. And despite loving Tessa like crazy, he did nothing when Jem and Tessa got engaged cause he was so selfless that he preferred to let them get married than to ruin Jem only chance of happiness before his death (or that's what we thought xD) I don't know how am I suppose to keep going with my life now that the Infernal Devices are over XD THE FEELS!!!!!!

I thought Charlotte was great and she was a perfect character. I just love the Cecily and Will relationship. SO CUTE!!! I knew Cecily and Gabriel would love each other. HENRY INVENTED PORTALS!!!!!!!! Henry's great!! I had an idea Emma was related to Jem while reading Heavenly Fire so when it was true AHHHH!!!!!!!! Magnus is awesome!!! Tessa's got a poker!! The Lincoln Quote!!! XD The fire part was just... as you said, heartbreaking. I was sad Jessie died!! AND NOVEMBER 10 STORY KILLED ME!!!!!!!!! I was also like WHATS UP WITH THE ANGEL!!!!!!! And yes, Ithurial was shackled in Valentine's basement. "Im Gabriel" HAHAHA!!!!!!! XD Magnus and Henry. SENSING A BROMANCE!!!!! I LOVED WHEN SOPHIE ASCENDED!!! When Jem was about to die...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When the parabatia connection broke...I CRIED SO MUCH!!!! I believed with my every last being Jem was dead!!! I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN BROTHER ZACHARIAH CAME!!!!! AND WHEN MAGNUS FOUND THEM IN BED TOGETHER XD XD XD XD!!!!!!!!! I DIED!!!!!! Bridget was awesome as a fighter!!! Shes great for someone with stupid depressing songs!! WHEN ZACHARIAH WAS JEM I JUST!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I COULDNT TAKE IT!!!!!!!! OMIGSOH!!!!!!!!!!! TEARS!!!!!!!!!! I was at a friends house when I read that and I broke down crying!!! She was very concerned. I WAS HYSTERICALLY CRYING READING THE EPILOGUE!!! It was one in the morning so I was delirious from lack of sleep and the tears wouldnt stop coming. AND WHEN HE BECAME JEM AGAIN!!!!!!!! Cassie did great writing this!! My favorite parts were Tessa and Will in the prison, THE CHRISTMAS PARTY WHICH BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES, and THE EPILOGUE!!!!!!!!!! I thought the Christmas Party was just amazing and so sweet and AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite quotes was when Will said, "I am catastrophically in love with you." AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I read The Mortal Instruments before I read The Infernal Devices. So I didnt understand the Tessa and Jem parts in the epilogue of Heavenly fire. SO, I reread the ending and I CRIED MY EYES OUT!!!!!!!!!! SO SAD WHEN IT MAKES SENSE!!!!!!!! In all, Clockwork Princess was when of the BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD XD XD XD XD

You probably realize this by now, but since Henry created the Portal, Henry and Charlotte gave Charles the Fairchild name, so then Clary is related to Henry because she is a descendant of Charles. So is Clary is related to Henry, then that's how she has rune and portal powers because Henry created the portal with new runes.

I made the stupid mistake of reading the epilogue of this book while listening to the instrumental version of Say Something, and I've read this book hundreds of times, felt the feels, and somewhat managed to contain myself but for some reason as I was listening to this music, and I read the very ending, the sentence, "No, the last thing she cared about was whether people were staring at the boy and girl kissing by the river as London, it's rivers and towers and churches and bridges and streets circled all about them like the memory of a dream.." I just broke down so hard man. If they ever make a movie, that music better be the soundtrack for the ending, I swear to God

I appreciate your enthusiasm. Most heartbreaking moment for me: Epilogue: pg561-562: "The worst moments, when, sitting alone at breakfast, she had realized that she had forgotten the precise blue of his eyes or the depth of his laugh; that, like the sound of Jem's violin music, they had faded into the distance where memories are silent." Beautifully tragic quote and perfect example of the ties between these three outstanding characters.

As far as I can remember)... Yeahh... Every Jem moment is so heart-wrenching... I cried the most when he and Will were fighting in the cave, and when the paragraph said that he was glad that he was able to fight beside Will "for one last time." GAAAAH TEAAAAARS T^T I absolutely loved the ending! I thought it was a perfect ending for the series! :D I also love your book talks

I still like the TMI better, but Clockwork Princess got me weeping like a baby. I loved every word of it. The friendships, the feelings, the sacrifices everyone made. It was so beautiful. The worst and most scary moment for me was when Henry got attacked by the automaton and... Another hard moment was when Will's parabatai rune faded, but I already knew that Jem was alive so it wasn't that terrible. I liked the epilogue best, I was biting my lip 'cause I was reading in public xD. When Cassie was telling about Will/Tessa life, I was like "OK. I guess I don't need my heart anyways. Go ahead and have it, Clare". Recently I read "Lady Midnight" and I really loved Jem's presence there, and Tessa's.

It's hard to imagine my simple search for the 10th anniversary addition of Twilight lead me to Christine's Channel. Now like 3 months later, I have rediscovered my joy of reading fiction/fantasy. After hearing about the Infernal devices and watching the "Mourning Period" video I had decided to purchase "Clockwork Angel" and fell in love with this series. I feel like I need more books, even though I am totally behind on this book series train! I am finally going to start "The Mortal Instruments" so, can't wait to see the parallels! This book had me crying in the end, I want to see the world from Tessa's new prospective sooo bad!

I don't even know why but Magnus comforting Tessa after Will's death really touched me. Like they weren't really close (at least the book doesn't portray them being close), but they had this tie that bound them--the difficulty and enormity of being immortal and watching your loved ones growing old and dying. Yeaugh idk it just really touched meeee

I went into this book serie with the highest hopes, and after reading Clockwork Angel and being immensely disappointed, I never thought that after reading the last book - I actually never even thought that I would even get around to reading the last book, because I disliked it so much - I could be left with such a feeling of immense happiness. But I did, and I couldn't be happier about it. **THIS WILL INVOLVE SPOILERS, SO IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE SERIES, DO NOT READ ON** I am absolutely in love with Will and Tessa's love-story. It was one of the most beautiful, most innocent and pure things I have ever been a witness to, and I can't be more than grateful to Cassie and can't thank her enough, for creating two suh amazing characters. It was so incredible to read. I also so enjoyed the way this book tied up to The Mortal Instruments. The whole way through the series, ever since we got introduced to the Lightwoods, i tried to made a connection to, how that would make sense with the Lightwoods we know today, especially since Will shares features with Alec. And it was so fun getting to know Cecily and making connections to how a possible relationship between her and Gabriel would be so perfect, and make so much sense, with the dark hair and blue eyes, and Cecily receiving the ruby red necklace (Izzy trademark) , which is then somehow passed on to Izzy. SO COOL I also loved how Magnus plays such a big part in this story. I so love that character.. I'm just so happy, and i got go on and on for ages. hahah

Cecilie Elvira I also adore, how beautifully written and explained the relationship between Jem, Tessa and Will is. This is not your typical everyday boring lovestory, of a girl having to choose between two guys, NO. This is so much more beautiful and almost spiritual in a way. I loved how both of the guys, just wanted her to be happy, and also wanted whoever she ended up choosing, also be happy, because Will and Jem loved each other that much. It was incredible reading this and watching their friendship play out..

I SAW THOSE TWO LINES IN THE BOOK WHEN CECILY AND GABRIEL LET OUT BREATHS THEY DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE HOLDING! I remember cuz I saw that Q&A about your pet peeve. And my first reaction when I saw the two lines was THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!!! My favorite part: the prison cell scene with Tessa and Will and the fact that Magnus walked in!! Just saying, I didn't like Jem very much before because he interfered with my OTP Wessa, but in this book he redeemed himself. Entirely! And Jessamine too! I cried and laughed and fell in love with so many of Cassandra Clare's characters and I love that! I love it when an author can make me feel real emotions and actually light up my day and make me cry. It's beautiful and I love all of Cassie's books! The epilogue tho.....I was crying and then I dried my tears and came back. And cried some more and I was crying and laughing at the same time! oh......so many feels.
