And which country is that that I should never ever go to if you’re discharging to the public air?! People are stupid, they put all sorts of stuff down drains, including chemicals so which country is that again?? 🤔🤨🧐

not legal in most of the USA either (now) but most older systems are allowed to stay as is.

@@Doing_it_right_the_first_time sump pumps are for ground water and rain water leaks. Not for sewage. It makes total sense that you cant tie them into sewer lines.
@tvelektron5 ай бұрын
In my country (Austria/Europe) it is completely ilegal to dump any sewer water outside. Everything hat to go to sewage treatment plant by law, (almost) without exception. Even a septic system is absolutely illegal - we have to build a "real" 3 chamber sewage treatment plant or a sealed collecting pit that has to be emptied at short intervals if there is no public sewer around...

that run along the crawl space is just waiting to clog.. im guessing paper and sewage built up in that line then got pushed as a glob down to the main trap area and shut the whole house down.. you can see that uphill area.. wonder what the deal is with that just laying on the crawl space floor..

that was my thought. Take off the small rubber hose connecting the sump, pop the outlet cap and slowly break the blockage.
@Doing_it_right_the_first_time5 ай бұрын
@@fatman3785 I have to be in the defense of Donald on this one like I usually am because I do the same thing that he does and when there is that kind of pressure and a small thin wall of soap scum and grease and other stuff that’s holding it in, there is no such thing as a “slow release“! It’s still under pressure and it’s still going to pop with velocity! It wasn’t like there was a check valve on the other side and the only thing we could’ve done was pump it afterward that was not the case in this situation where it could be that way. For you folks have never done this kind of work you should not be “Monday morning quarterbacks“ Edward H. - “Integrity Plumbing, Septic and Drain“ out of the Clinton, CT USA area.
