Sure brings back memories of working sewer and drain for/with my dad's roto rooter franchise in northern cali back in mid 90s. I enjoyed working together with him it was Shitty work sometimes but good memories. Thanks for sharing your work on here.

The gray mystery substance. The brown I recognize. But the gray? Lol. Nice job!
@throttlebottle59064 жыл бұрын
I'd guess it's broken up toilet paper and soap scum that bubbled up out, possibly some thinned out drywall mud/dust and paint that got washed down also. if the trap was stopped solid then likely that from being flipped for new renters/owners. actually, maybe tile mortar, grout also and other from concrete backerboard, assuming if it was just rehabbed. judging by the more grey in the line itself.

Isn't it wonderful when you can stink up a whole apartment from that???? Just think, you don't have to live with it tonight. You can go home and get all cleaned up. lol Just kidding!!! Great work. I thought the ball of grossness was actually a twisted up towel someone smashed into the opening, not that gray sludge. Looks like grease, wipes, and assorted "food" were all caught up in it. Glad it was easy to clean. I am not sure why she has to have so many shoes, but holy bleep!!! I own 1 pair of sneakers, and 1 pair of winter boots. Sounds like they found you on YT. Pays to put these vids out then. We addicts get to watch you clean pipes, and others find you to clean their pipes. Win-win situation for you. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!!

That is a lot of sneakers for 1 person Figure at least 100 dollars a pair, there is over 5000 dollars worth of sneakers right there Most of what I own was salvaged from the trash. Everything I own doesn't amount to the price paid for those sneakers. I have a pair of boots that cost me 50 dollars. I bought them 10 years ago. They are worn out. I have a 12 dollar pair of velcro sneakers I bought 5 years ago that are worn out. I have 2 pairs of pants, 12 pairs of underwear and 12 t shirts, most have holes in them, and a dozen pairs of socks. You could replace my entire wardrobe for 300 dollars or less, including the boots and sneakers Everything I own is worth less than those sneakers. I hate being poor

that was 100% a mix of toilet paper, drywall mud, tile mortar/grout, old plaster dust, paint, soap scum and more! low flow everything and high efficiency appliances too LOL! that stuff usually flows right through during remodel, without whole house traps or line issues. that said, avoid putting anything but toilet paper that breaks up down the drain! it will often come back to haunt you. just the low flow/high efficiency stuff will kill the lines. what I want to see is an inspection of everyone's home that claims to be "green" right to the top of governments, :))) I bet theirs all flow like mad with multiple showerheads or modified.

PSA: I don’t know why it human habit _NOT_ to move your stuff out the way before a repair/maintenance person arrives to your house. Who the ha-ell do you think is coming by? If you call a plumber, MOVE YOUR SH!T! They are not tasked to evaluate if your Jordan 3s - are in the fuggin’ way or not.

@@NYDRAINS Oh I’m sure they were. But base on most of these visits you make in these vids it’s never a better time to remind folks to please give your maintenance person a wide and unobstructed berth to the problem. They know the damage it caused them, no need for you relive or compound their angst. Happy plumbing dude.

I'm guessing all of the viewers probably have thoughts in the back of their minds from other drain videos where there might be a jetter, a few buckets of soapy water, a few plungers, augers, or guys speaking another language saying "all ok" as things progress. I have certainly learned a few things from those other videos. The one thing I have learned from this guy is to get it flowing and get out. Let someone else clean up!

The reason the grease is like that my guess is cause crap has mixed with it somehow and it decayed, which would explain the black and the gray. But also a mix of wipes cause it can be shown they're old if they're gray themselves
